I am honestly not the biggest Jessica Mulroney fan and have not liked how she is styling Meghan.

My opinion obviously doesn't matter, but I am hoping she isn't the MOH but its looking like she is. Would love to see Meghan have a more American style party with adult attendants.

And before folks jump on me, I DO appreciate that Jessica seems loyal to Meghan.
I think people are mistaken what Meghan feels comfortable in to Jessica being responsible for it. For anyone who has followed Jessica’s work, whether it be her own stuff or what she has done for others, and Meghan’s personal style before this, it’s clear that Meghan chooses to wear what she does. And I have to question how involved Jessica still is except on a personal friend level. It seems that someone in UK has been helping her as some of the brands she’s worn wouldn’t be very familiar to those outside of UK like Hiut and Amanda Wakeley.

Why, Pranter? :ermm:

She needs some advice (from someone in country) on dressing for her new job/station in life while working...and no I don't mean she needs to dress like Kate. Her outfit in Ireland was heading in the right direction I will say.

To be clear, I hate how Jessica styles people period, including herself.

And I do think she takes a lot of direction from Jessica and has for a while. That doesn't preclude them intentionally incorporating UK brands which they obviously are which is great.

Wow what a big job it is to style someone correctly. Imagine as a royal attending a school event. With lots of running around outside. Then in the afternoon attending a serious business type of event. The clothing choices would I imagine have to be different. Lots of scope for a large wardrobe required.
I agree that not all stylists get it right.

I think she's done extremely well. :flowers: I've generally liked most everything she's worn with only minor exceptions. Hope she doesn't change too much because right now her style is very accessible. IMO.

I agree too I think the job is harder than she thought

Is there some source you have on what Meghan thought (about the job and the difficulty level of it) before all of this? I'd love to read it.

She has only really done half a dozen low key engagements and one formal. She looked great at the commonwealth service and the casual ones are a mix of old and new wardrobe.

She doesn't seem overly worried or progressively more reserved or withdrawn. But she does seem a little tired which is hardly surprising given she is preparing for one of the starring roles in a royal wedding and is busy studying a whole new way of life, a new country and two new cultures, British and Royal.

Just because 95% of Americans don't care about this wedding doesn't mean a channel can't make a buck off of the 5% who care.

Its not like just a couple of decades ago when you turned on the TV and only had a handful of stations to choose from. The majority of television viewers today have choices numbering in the hundreds and can easily opt out of watching the royal wedding and tune into reruns of NCIS somewhere or the Toon channel for the kids.

It does look like the stations like NBC, CBS, ABC are all going to focus on this wedding and to me, that's a good thing. I can watch reruns to my heart's content any other time or catch up on programs by streaming them online. These stations that are deciding to cover the wedding are really in a minority compared to all the different TV channels that are out there.

Looking forward to seeing the week long programing on PBS (since it's a free channel we do get that!)....and nice to see that the major networks (CBS/NBC etc) are going to start airing programing at like 3 am central time the day of the wedding!

It's only going to be my granddaughter and I watching, no one else is really interested in them in the family or even my friends in real life.

It’s great that we have a choice! I’ll be at a friend’s watching as much as we can....I have a shower that afternoon (I’ll tape it too)

Hard to judge by a picture of the back of her head but even if it's a case of mistaken identity I think Meghan's days of being able to move around anonymously are over.

It's probably her. She would have to go back to the states for paperwork. TMZ stay pretty on it.

Is Meghan in Chicago?

It may very well be her in the Global Application Centre, especially as TMZ noted the four bodyguards. However, I doubt it was her on the escalator as there was nobody in front of her. Guards don't guard from behind their subject.

Actually, it raises many points. The UK Foreign Office works with the State Department to ensure the safety of their VIP's (and vice versa) and, while there is no denying that Meghan has a significant threat level, she is a US citizen. So, did she travel with any DPO's? That would be a diplomatic minefield since she is still a US citizen and not yet royal. The same would hold true with the State Department, she is a US actress and therefore not a VIP.

Perhaps that is why the Chicago Police were involved with Foreign Office and State Department coordinating the operation.

Seems like I read there were 4 RPO's with her.

US citizen or not, she’s deemed at high risk for 24/7 RPO by Scotland Yard. Her security is their responsibility, and her foreign travels would still go through the proper channels that way. How is that a diplomatic minefield? Everyone knows she will be a senior member of the BRF in a matter of slightly more than a month. They aren’t going to take any chances.

I love how the Tribune article refers to her as "Northwestern alum."

Now that's journalism where the reporter has done his homework. Chicago has the right to be proud of itself having refined the education of a senior member-to-be of the British Royal Family. :D

New thought...if Meghan had to go to Chicago anyway, could this be the right time for a bachelorette weekend? Any Soho house locations in Chicago?

Princess Anne's husband Tim Lawrence talks about Meghan and Harry and Meghan's wedding. He has some nice words for Meghan. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...-part-marrying/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

"Does he have any advice for Meghan? ‘She’s absolutely great and she certainly doesn’t need any advice from me, but the simplest advice for all of us is “just be yourself”. If she does that, she’ll be fine.'"

Well, it is a Chicago newspaper-that is relevant.

Oh, I know! I'm from Chicago and graduated from Northwestern--years before Meghan attended. I think the description of Meghan is adorably provincial of the Chicago Tribune.

Yes, there is a Soho House in Chicago. Chicago is also a short 50 minute flight from downtown Toronto, so who knows what she is up to?:flowers::cool: Good for her that she is able to fly under most radars; clearly observant fellow travellers are calling in their money making tips:bang::eek:

That was such a nice quote. Loved reading the whole article.
