Yesterday, June 6, Prince Albert was in Finland to visit the University of Helsinki's Värriö research station together with the Prince Albert II Foundation:

Albert's visit to the research station is hosted by Mikko Sipilä, director of the Värriö research station. Sipilä tells Iltalehti that the prince's visit was part of a wider visit. Albert first visited Rovaniemi, where he met the rectors of the universities of Helsinki and Lapland and discussed the Arctic scientific community.
- Albert has a foundation that has supported our university and our research over the years. He is very interested in the Arctic region, the state of its environment and climate change, says Sipilä.
Sipilä says that the prince seemed like a good-natured and relaxed guy.
- He was a very pleasant person and created a really relaxed atmosphere.
