Attractiveness of Monaco - part 5:
On July 8th, Michel Roger (Minister of State), Henri Fissore (Monaco's Ambassador), Marco Piccinini (Finance Minister) and other important Monegasques will kick off the next tranche of "L'attractivité un an après"

It will be a working breakfast (but in great luxury, in the Café de Paris).

The purpose is to launch the package "Jeune entrepreneur" which is a collaboration between the Government and the JCE jcemonaco@jcemonaco.mc

In the evening, there is a Grande Soirée at the NIBOX Monaco panoramic roof terrace.
Still on the topic of Attractivity, but specifically on professional career opportunities for young persons.

July 12 to August 25: Activities at Port Hercule
July 22: HERCULIS 2011, Stade Louis II, Monegasque Athletics Federation
July 28th Musical Fireworks

Will he back for the Red Cross Ball?

Attractiveness of Monaco part 6: to be an international sports hub

Okay, so there is the Grand Prix, the Rallye, the Rolex, the Masters, the Football and more ...... but can Monaco offer something that other sporting countries lack ??

*******************************************************
The HERCULIS event is based at Louis II, but the it's been done before....

Where is the unique event where the Principality can really shine ??

Seems like "border control" problems are going on all over the world, which imho would be solved if people just stayed amongst their own kind, in their own countries, in their own barrios, and stopped crossing the border where they are not welcome.

That's fine if you are born in a beautiful, prosperous country.
But if you were born in some hellhole where you could barely survive (and your family was suffering), wouldn't you try to seek a better life elsewhere? :ermm:

That's pretty xenophobic and small minded, don't you think???. "...if people stayed amoungst their own kind"?? Geez...

The US wouldn't be a country if there was no immigration. Even the Native Americans came from Asia.

Most Americans are fine with immigration as long as it's legally done. It's the illegal immigrants they take issue with.

Thank you Iceflower for these photographs. So nice to see Prince Albert engaging with the players and "fooling" about with the soccer ball. At the end of the day royals are just regular human beings. I did so enjoy these pics.

PA was lucky to have had a kickabout with Sir Alex Ferguson and the French player Fabien Barthez !!

NGalitzine - you made me laugh - but wouldn't the little chap (or girl) be totally perplexed at the sight of it ??

It might put him/her off his/her dinner.....

At last ! Some good news on the home front where the month of July brought exceptionally good results in the hotel sector.
Apparently this was only partially due to the wedding...
The Principality has 75 000 beds available per month.
In July, eighty percent of these beds sold at 300 euros per night.
Result: almost 18 million from the hotel sector alone, without food or other expenses.

The Musée Océanographique welcomed its 100 000th visitor family, from Dépt. Loir-et-Cher in France.

:previous: What also needs to be included is its popularity as a destination for large cruise ships - particularly with the new port developments. Incidentally, in July, the Oceanographic museum reported a record number of visitors in one day -but it was a particularly wet day:)

Apart from PA's Foundation, there are many initiatives on the "ECO" front.
The latest is an enormous, bright red, electric-cum-solar trimaran named Solar Odyssey.

Based at Canet-en-Roussillon (Region Languedoc-Roussillon, at the border with Spain), it arrived in Monaco at Port Hercule.
The trimaran follows in the steps of Eric Tabarly and Frédéric Dahirel.

Today it will continue to Ajaccio (Corsica) where there will be further hydrodynamic trials......

Hard to overlook as they've added a close up to highlight that sensation :D Let us please not start
any discussion if that was a sign for anything or not. There are so many husbands and wives that
don't wear the wedding ring 24 hours a day and we can be sure that Prince Albert did not try to
send a message with that ;)

It isn't the first time he wasn't wearing it, and I highly doubt that this will be the last. I'm just glad that he got one and does wear it!

Does anyone know if Albert is involved in the UEFA?
Michel Platini and the Prince are wearing the same tie. That has to mean something doesn't it?
