I wonder who is funding Sofia and all her "activities". Wouldnt be surprised if it was the Swedish taxpayer via CP allowance via King CG.

I cant recall any other royal WaG who has promoted herself and her activities in such a bold way. And I wonder if there ever had been the turnaround from borderline pornographic pictures to charity without the possible reward, marrying a Prince of Sweden.

Patrick Lagus, who produces the Strauss concerts which Sofia will attend, told in Saturday´s Iltasanomat (finnish tabloid) that the reason why he chose Project Playground to be the organisation he will donate this year, is that when he started the concerts, he got support from South Africa. He lived in Cape Town during the years 2001-2003. Project Playground works in Langa, Lagus visited Langa in 2002. He is going to visit South Africa in February and he has promised to Sofia and Lina, that he will then visit Project Playground. Lagus told also that he has been dealing with the members of the royal family during his career.

Iltasanomat told also that Project Playground will start during 2012 a campaign "Play on wheels", they will take help all over the country to those children, who can´t visit the PP center.

I get the SRF has a scandal to deal with but they are letting Sofia slip in quietly like a thief in the night. She's using this time to benefit her purposes cause a year ago she would not have been allowed to pose like that with the prince for her charity. I'm slowing beginning to agree with those who want the monarchy abolished!

The finnish press is writing about Sofia as "the member of the royal family", maybe partly because Svensk Damtidning writes almost every week about "Sofia, our next princess".
And Bertil Ternert from the court has emphasized the position of Sofia as a royal girlfriend by commenting about her living with Carl Philip, her asking for media help from the court etc.

I agree; love is one thing, but this is something else entirely. Sofia wouldn't even be taken seriously as marriage material by a decent normal man and princes should have high standards. I don't understand why on earth princes have such low standards. There are thousands of attractive princesses out there that have excellent looks, accomplishments, and lineage and these princes choose the worst of the worst when it comes to stuff like wives and eventually Queen Consorts. American politicians are more careful about who they marry because they know that they will be representing the country, however hypocritical it might be.

Well,that's the life situation, a lot of men(the princes are not excluded here) are primarily attracted by the beauty of a woman,despite of their other achievements.Sometimes it could be an ideal intellectualy balanced attraction(when the woman is intelligent or has a degree or specific achievements),the other times the attaction is dominating factor.From other side,when either a noble or a prince is dating just a pretty girl from his circle,it gives the idea of his sense of duty and refusing (or fear)to choose a life partner outside his society,which is not the best side of a man.

Let's make her wear a scarlet "A" so everyone knows that she's inferior to all other women! Or perhaps she's a witch! Let's throw her into a bog, if she doesn't sink she's ok to marry him, but if she does, we all know she was a harlot.



There's finding someone distasteful, and then there's out and out slut shaming. Often, the opinions about Sofia are expressed as the latter. I understand the reservations some people have about her (I understand those- I don't have any particular love for reality tv or the culture around it either) but acting like a woman is less than worthless because of her sexual choices is sexist and in my opinion, is never warranted.

Just because he is a prince does not make him anymore special than the average man. Men, for centuries, have chosen "undesirable" women as their spouses, mistresses and so on. He is not the first male, nor the last, that will choose such a woman as a girlfriend. Let us not kid ourselves here. Sofia has showcast herself in a poor light, and it has be done more than once. But if the Prince chooses her as his spouse, that is his choice, but to look as this union and believe you're being hard-done-by, oh please. Cry me a river! He isn't the heir apparent, and will become more distant from the Crown when Victoria has more children. He isn't the first Prince to do this - Duke of Windsor anyone? I can name half a dozen or more girlfriends/wives of current CROWN Princes who are decent and hardworking women, who never had a scandal.

Completely agree!The most disturbing is not even her person,but this kind of PR that is intended to transform cardinally Sophia's image in a couple of weeks.
By the way,of course she is not "witch"(lol),she is far too beautiful(either accept it or not) to be the one, in order to "conquer" the prince's soul.

I'm not. Because first and foremost CP is a human being with human feelings. Feelingscome and go like they want. So why blame him for something he can't do anything against? Prince or not, feelings work the same way for him than for anyone else. And Sofia does a decent job since she is his girlfriend.

In today´s Iltalehti (paper version) about Sofia attending the Strauss concerts:
Sofia has of course the best places and an own room at the Finlandia Hall. After the concert tonight Sofia attends at the event arranged for the guests. Producer Patrick Lagus tells: Sofia is here with the audience. Even a normal concert guest can meet her and discuss with her.

Sofia will spend the night in Helsinki. On Friday she attends at the lunch at the Finlandia Hall and the concert after that.
Mr. Lagus has naturally contacted the embassy regarding to the safety arrangements of Sofia: In addition to that I have also contacted the authorities. I have experience of royal visits, the last of them was when princess Haya visited Helsinki in August (regarding the Helsinki International Horse Show). There isn´t any particular rules, because Sofia isn´t officially a royal person. Of course The Finnish Security Intelligence Service (the intelligence agency of Finland in charge of national security) will do their work. I don´t know their plans. But of course we co-operate with the police.

The process is in full swing and reaching a level where it becomes absurd, phony and downright annoying.
Of course a personality can evolve, and the Sofia H. posing fully nude for strictly un-artistic pics in 2008 is not necessarily the same Sofia H. now.
But all the aggressive pushing and pulling the strings here, a spin and make-over which is re-writing her life story, a Mother Theresa image based on a few trips to South Africa for the charity of her friend, and a 'royal' visit abroad...
...sorry, but all these efforts to re-invent the woman for the sake of public acceptance are so obvious that they're becoming laughable and make her appear even more like a fake than she might be.
Her decisions to keep talking to the media, to have people constantly talk on her behalf to the media, and to make a media event trip like this one now only serve to prove the very probable assumption that her main goal in life has remained exactly the same it has been ever since going for nude pictures in her teens: Becoming known, being famous, reaching a celebrity status.

Sofia had answered that she has heard things about finnish music, but she doesn´t know much exactly. After this Kaija Koo had asked, if Sofia has visited Finland before. They talk about Sophia ,like she could have been a big star,of Grace Kelly's level.
I 'd like to add that even smiling Sophia gives the impression of not being entirely sincere,at the same time she seems to be a little nervous and trying to hide this feeling.
Due to say that her younger sister ,Lina, seems to be more sympathetic person than Sophia,although she is a little shy.
