Pavlos and Marie-Chantal current events 3: June-October 2006

Alex VF isn't considered "royal" in terms of Prince Felipe of Spain or even Pavlos. The Von Furstenburgs are more aristocrats than royals. And Alex was raised primarily in NYC by his mother. His associations were more American heiresses and movie stars than actual royalty. Alexandra Miller did not travel in the circles of European royals. Rubbing elbows with titled people at a swank party - whether it be NYC, London, Paris, etc. - does not constitute traveling in royal circles. Even MC wasn't part of the royal crowd until she married Pavlos. Princes Wm & Harry mingling with wealthy English heiresses is a bit different as most of the British wealthy are somehow connected to royalty by blood. The world of Britain's wealthy/aristocratic/royal is quite incestuous.

I doubt it was an arranged marriage, but certainly Robert Miller was very ambitious for his daughters to marry well. Constantine was lukewarm on Marie-Chantal marrying Pavlos and they are said to have a very cool relationship.

I don´t really see what you´re trying to say. Of course I´m aware of the difference between Royalty and Aristocracy, but AvF is a member of a so called "noble" family, socialising with Royals as well, indeed!
It´s a fact that MC met Pavlos and Felipe back in the 90s when they studied in the US, isn´t it? Otherwise she hardly wouldn´t have been able to marry the greek CP...
Concerning the british Princes: Don´t you think that W. and Harry, if they were ever planning to study in the US, would only meet royal girls (they ´d remain pretty lonesome...)?
They´d learn to know a lot of girls with the exact background MC had:
Daughters from rich tycoons, mingling in "high society" and with the best of contacts.
But, yes, you´re right, MC had no royal contacts "by nature" before her engagement. It was a mere coincidence(if you believe in coincidents) to
meet Pavlos, but in the same way W.and Hs girlfriends met them, because
not everybody in british society is connected to Royalty or aristocratic families urgently...

Who/ What´s the source of this statement ("cool relationship")?
I mean, there are a lot of things "being said" who are simply pure fictional.
I often wonder, where some people get their informations from (often
only from the tabloids...)! I guess neither King Constantine nor his daughter-in-law ever confessed publicly to have a "cool relatinship", did they?
Or was a reporter hiding at their homes under the sofa...?

I'm trying to say that there are social differences between the aristocracy and royalty and that just because Alex VF is of a "noble" family doesn't mean he associates with "royalty." MC DID NOT meet Pavlos or Felipe in the 90s! She first met Pavlos as a party in New Orleans. Both she and Pavlos have spoken publically of this numerous times. And ONCE AGAIN, it doesn't matter if you're rich, famous, whatever, mingling at a party and traveling in the very tight social circles of royals is NOT THE SAME THING. I'm not saying the Princes and royals don't meet and befriend heiresses, I'm sure it happens. But we're discussing MC and her sisters and their royal connections and there were really no royal connections until MC married Pavlos.

This is also not the right place to discuss whether Pavlos and Marie-Chantal would ever met/marry, if King Constantine was still a reigning Monarch.

The family's supposed to be in Greece for a couple (maybe several, I've seen two different lengths of time) of weeks leading up to Anne-Marie's birthday, but, other than the info on Alexia's illness, nothing's come out of Greece about the family. I don't even know if Pavlos' bunch is in Greece. No pics or anything. Strange.

Whenever I carefully look at the faces of Pavlos and Marie-Chantal in the pictures posted at the site, I always come to the same conclusion. They both look happy and content. This is a far cry from the pictures I would see of Charles and Diana. Either Pavlos and MC are good actors or they really are happy in their marriage. As for arrogance, I agree with past comments made here. When a couple is happy being private and privilege, other people feel left out and mistake it for snobbery and arrogance. I think they are happy and feel blessed in their social position and I think they are happy keeping their lives secretive and not being like Paris Hilton or Angelina Jolie. Even those dummies J-Lo and Ben Affleck discovered that you pay a high price for publicity.

But I do wish Pavlos and MC were more public. They both seem to lead interesting lives and have more interesting opinions, much more so than Jessica Simpson or Nicole Ritchie. Too bad Pavlos and MC are so private, Pavlos even more so than MC. I really wished Pavlos had also been interviewed in that British Vogue article. But then again, his mysteriousness makes him more attractive and alluring.

Indeed, Princess Marie-Chantal was born on September 17, 1968, so she is 38 today.
And Odysseaa Kimon was born on September 17, 2004, so he is 2.
