The party was divided because I have seen in two parties, one in the garden, where you can see the guests talking, commenting, sitting and listening to music, in the photos you see people of all ages and another party , after Of this, that would be more modern and extravagant to youngs

I have not seen photos of the kings,Constantine and Anne Marie but I have seen photos in the garden of the house, where you see a classic party, with people of all ages, and the truth, 50 years of prince Pavlos would be nice to have been them.

Ah interesting, I can see that makes sense. One party for the 50-years old Prince Pavlos and another one for his eldest daughter.

:flowers:

Prince, is by Prince Pavlos, and The Revolution is Princess Maria Olympia,( because she is always revolutionizing, she does not like the classic, she is always introducing new things and changes). The guests had to go classic but moderns.
I would have accepted MO revolutions if she had left her cosy life to go to Africa and help the starvation victims. The only "revolutionary" think I see to her is loosing every year more centimeters of fabric in her clothes.....

What was the theme? I'm sorry but, MO looks like a common showgirl (..)

I'm perplexed because it seems -- JMHO -- that someone like Catherine Middleton, a "commoner" was raised to act like a perfect lady who could one day be "royal" ... and MO -- someone w/royal blood from many European royals -- wants to act, look, and dress like a social wannabe.

I just don't get it!

She could have been a perfect bride for any number of European royal/noble men.

One more proof that noble birth is not what makes a royal but personality!
The party might have been lavish and fun, but it also had a frivolous ring to it.... Too bad members of reigning royal houses, including a Queen consort, took part.

King Felipe was there too and I am pretty sure the Danes as well.

But so far there is only photo proof of Felipe who attended without his wife (according to El Mundo). But who knows, Felipe is tall, Letizia is small ;)

and it gets better, other spanish tabloids claim that Cristina and Inaki were present, too (only unclear photo)

We will see these pictures on the web and in the boulevard press. The media code does not work here, it works for the protection of royals just doing private things in their private pastime (shopping, horseriding, going to church, playing field hockey). This was a society party with fellow guests posting on social media. There is no hindrance for the boulevard press not to publish these pictures. No problem at all.

Queen Máxima has not put any feet wrong. She went to the birthday party of the eldest son of King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie of the Hellenes, who happens to be one of her best friends. She looked fabulous and acted gracefully. We can not held her responsible for other guests at the party.

Last week's Royal Ascot was marred with drunken brawls. One even involved a topless millionaire near the royal enclosure challenging visitors to fight with him. What now? Verboten for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II ?

I agree with you :)

The party of Prince Pavlos has had guests who have dressed elegantly (within the theme of the party):), Ascot style women, and others were horribles:bang:. Queen Maxima was normal:p, inside the theme of the party, Prince Pavlos and his children, horribles with these smoking:bang:, but possibly within the theme of the party:), this was not a etiquette party.

This looks like a extravagantly big party for the wealthy of the world and nothing wrong with that as it is not taxpayers who paid for it. Yet perhaps some royal kings and queens should keep a lower profile as this might not look good to the people of their countries as they will look very frivolous party goers. Yet....wondering if anyone remembers the parties that Princess TNT had for I still have the magazine with all the pictures of one of those parties when she was younger.

Indeed, this was a party for devout altar boys, compared with the extravaganza of the parties by Gloria von Thurn und Taxis, a.k.a. "The Punk Princess".

This wild imago did not prevent her to become a shrewd businesswoman managing the formidable estate with great succes (and to become more Catholic than the Pope on later age). Morale of the story: a party is a party and nothing more than that.

King Felipe attending his cousin's birthday, Queen Máxima saying hello to her Greek neighbours who were in The Hague for WA's 50th birthday, with whom WA and his family celebrated Orthodox Easter in Greece and once again were together for the wedding of mutual Greek friends.

Felipe, Máxima, Haakon, etc. they were invited and what could they do? For the same money it was an über-serious affair. That some guests dressed quite adventurous, no one could know on beforehand.

I'm sure the royals in attendance knew that some of the other guests would be going all out. This isn't their first time at one of MC's parties. It looks like a lot of fun!

It's interesting who we haven't gotten pictures of - Alexia, Pavlos's parents, the Infantas, Queen Letizia, the Danes. Either none of them were there, which I doubt, or they all managed to avoid being snapped, which is impressive!

The photos that you are seeing are of the privates instagram, people who attended the celebration (they make their selfies with their dresses, they are not photographers). We have taken from their profiles the photos to know who was invited to the party, we can not know exactly it, there are no pictures of Princess Tatiana, and She was there, the spanish press have found to King Felipe ,in a photo of a guest , in the background of the photo , we do not really know who were and who did not. But was King Felipe and King William and Queen Maxima.....it is obvious had very members of the nobility....

In the above Instagram photo of Felipe, Prince Kyril of Bulgaria was there also.

i wonder why letizia didn't attend. she surely must have been invited but not spotted in any pictures. either she is savvy enough to avoid any pictures so that she doesn't end all over social media, but my guess is that she wasn't there. she doesn't strike me as the type of person who would enjoy this sort of event much for some reason.

I think your correct on that, IMO, I would not want my picture out there on social media at a private event either. This is *private* so let's keep it that way. Why broadcast what you do all the time anyway. QL seems like a more private lady who would rather do things in her home or with family, JMO.

Letizia did attend plenty of this sort of events. In April she engaged in a fun-sports day organized by King Willem-Alexander as part of his birthday program. So to see couples have split up agendas: Felipe was there, Letizia probably not, Máxima was there, Willem-Alexander probably not, etc.

Letizia and any number of other royal and well known guests could have been there. I'm sure people were discouraged from taking pictures of people without their permission and there may have been an area of the house and grounds where no cameras were allowed. Whatever strategy they put in place seems to have worked well overall - Felipe was the only royal who was caught by accident.

King Felipe can attend his cousin's birthday party.

Prince Pavlos Birthday to gether than Olympia's was not a good idea.
Thr decadence came from the youngest so rich Generation.

I'm delighted no-one of significance in the BRF attended so decadent a 'shindig'.. PR wise it does no Senior Royal attendee ANY favours...

I like your no-one of significance in the BRF attended and the Michael's were so proud being there.

I would like to see the kings, Constantine and Anna Maria in this party, they would have been in the garden ;)..... but I think they have not been,:ermm: and I believe it sincerely, I have seen all the pictures of instagrams, Even journalists who were at the party as guests, and even in the speech of Prince Pavlos were not his parents:sad:, the photo of the Kings and the Heir, would be the photo sought in every celebration of 50 years, but the Prince Pavlos has shared photos with his brothers, Princes Nikolaos and Philippos, but he has not shared that photo that would be relevant and expected. I think they definitely have not been to this party. And I do not think Tatiana either.:ermm:
Nikolaos is without Tatiana in all the photos, videos, and has not even shared a photo of her, I think Tatiana has not been.

What kind of gets to me is how Constantine and Anne-Marie are clearly unable to make a final break with their royal ties by encouraging Pavlos and MC to refrain from styling their kids "of Greece" and making it clear that they are Crown Prince and Princess only because that was Pavlos' standing at the time of the final overthrow. I think encouraging their kids to be 'of Greece" is bad choices on the part of Maria-Olympia's parents and they should put their daughter to some kind of proper career. They might be rich and titled, but the Crown Prince and Princess are raising their kids with unrealistic expectations of being not required to make an effort in life and make something of themselves. Neither parent is helping their kids and with the Greek RF, one never knows where they stand.

I often think that Pavlos would prefer to be a genuine reigning royal, but at the same time, can't seem to find some kind of balance or actual purpose in his life. He could surely find some way to do good things for Greece, or perhaps even live there quietly, but he can't seem to get his wife to get into line and stop making such an exhibition of their lives online. I did read that Greeks are unimpressed with how he lets his wife run things and I do wonder if he would like to be able to tell his wife to stop advertising them online.

Just wondering if perhaps *her money* has a lot to do with how he has a say in their home and what goes on. She seems like she rules that nest of hers and in the long run the children will pay the price for her lifestyle. Already I see the daughter as being very spoiled and only having her picture in all the social media events is the most important thing in her life.....is this what 20 something do these days or not for it makes no sense to me that you have to show your entire life on a twitter account or whatever these social media account are. As you can guess I am not a social media buff person, it is a whole different ball game then what I grew up with.

I do agree that since she has the money, she makes the rules and gets away with anything. I do think that her daughter is very nearly ruined for good at this rate. All this nonsense about dressing in that flimsy dress and Calvin Klein underwear boy-shorts is going to get her into a lot of trouble with the wrong kind of men who see this online. I might sound like an uptight schoolmarm, but she is heading for a mess. Work hard and party, but she's not working and partying just to blow off steam, she's just killing time she can't get back. She's getting mixed up with the wrong type of people and titled or not, they're going to be trouble in the long run.

You pulled the very thoughts right out of my head, I have seen this happen time and time again with young girls that have no guidance and lots of money to throw around, some make it and some did not, sad. Mom IMO is not doing her daughter any favors by letting this happen to her and unfortunately she will pay the price. i wonder also about the boys for from the looks on those faces, at that age now, they have the world handed to them on a gold platter......not predicating the future, yet in this day and age we see what happens all the time to the younger generation with lots of free time and money to throw around.....not good news for any family.:bang:

:previous:

As usual with such families the girls are allowed to study art, languages, history of art or fashion while the boys are pushed into finance and/or business. I suspect it will be the same here.

I expect nothing else than that Princess Maria Olympia will marry a Greek from high society, or a fellow blue-blooded lordship, or a typical dude à la James Matthews and the likes. A girl as Pippa studied literature, not exactly a niche full of opportunities. But as Mrs James Matthews, that is not so relevant anyway. I expect Princess Maria Olympia going the same route.

I think Olympia will be expected to marry a man who brings something to the table. No money but well born or well connected would be ok, as would lots of new money. Most importantly he'll have to be on board with participating in the sort of lifestyle Olympia was brought up in and seems to want to continue.

I wouldn't want my daughter to lead the sort of life Olympia has so far. The overall impression is one of a nice but frivolous girl who prioritizes things like fashion shows and endless luxury vacations over any sort of serious endeavour, such as an education. I also can't get on board with the way MC and Pavlos have let the children have public and flashy instagram accounts from the time they were young teenagers - children should have private lives, IMO, and then make the decision to become more public when they're adults, if they want.

However, that's a lifestyle choice they've made. Yes, there are plenty of families who will look at that lifestyle and possibly discourage their sons from getting involved with her but there are also many families who share the same values, including those with nice but frivolous sons who would be happy to marry Olympia and treat her well.

I don't think she's headed for ruin quite yet. :) She seems like a pleasant kid who is close with her parents and siblings. Hopefully she's still in school, taking it seriously and will find some sort of meaningful career or volunteer work to pursue in addition to all the silliness we see now.

If she were taking her schooling seriously, she wouldn't be partying, she would be living near school and enjoying the quiet life and spending it studying. If she wanted to volunteer, she would be. She would not be making a fool of herself wearing a flimsy dress with boy short panties and walking the catwalk. This is the life she prefers to lead and at her age, her choices show the person she wants to be. I don't think she will live a quiet unpretentious life and I do not believe that her life will go well. At her age, others far wealthier and who come from more powerful families are currently living more respectable lives and she's not at all helping herself.

The entire planet can see practically everything about her.
