A selction from colourpress of the unveiling of the staute, the original staue is made in stone and is outside the palace in Oslo, this is a bronze copy, I like it very much.

I dont like any of the Norwegian hats, Queen Sonjas looks like and UFO and Mette-Marits like giftwrapped bucket, I love her earrings with diamond and sapphire forget-me-nots. Queen Elizabeth looks like her elegant self.

Princess Astrid and his brother King Harald

They is beautiful royal Norway and England. Princess Astrid is beautiful and old lady in Norways royal family. She is daughter to King Olav and Princess Märtha. Princess Astrid is grandchildren to Queen Maud. Princess Astrid is over 70 year and his husband Martin Ferner is on near photo Mette-Marit.Princess Astrid and Princess Ragnhild, King Harald was grandchildren to Queen Maud. King Olav was best friend to Queen Mother many years. Queen Mother have come to King Olavs funeral 1991. King Olav have visit many year to Royal family of England relations near Queen Mother,her family,children is Queen Elisabeth and Princess Margaret.King Harald and Queen Elisabeth is oldest friends.

goodness! MM had been doing so well with the clothes on this trip and now..that hat.

its just too high. it looks like she has a smokestack on her head. if it were just a little shorter and maybe rounded on top, it would be very cute.

but as it is, it just looks kinda weird.

oh well. her many other fantastic outfits this trip especially her dress at the dinner last night are definitely "mitigating considerations."

I must say that I am most impressed by Prinsessan Astrid, fru Ferner. All the ladies looks beautiful sometimes, sometimes not. Of course I like Mette Marits clothes more but she´s the same age as I am and the other ladies could well be my mother or grandmother even...

But Pr Astrid has at last got her self a decent pair om frames!!! ( You should all know that I´m optometrist/optician by proffession) That made such a BIG difference!!! And some fine clothes as well and she´s like a new princess! So if you don´t think that frames matters take a look at some old picture of pr. Astrid and the new ones!!! (Sorry for the PR for my business)

After having been away from a computer for a few days, I'm loving getting to look at all these pictures! Mette-Marit has looked amazing this trip! Especially the pink gala outfit. Camilla looked lovely, and her tiara was great!

That hat is truly a disaster. MM has very beautiful eyes - she should show them instead of hiding them under this hideous thing. Besides, it's so dark that it makes her look like a 19th century young lady with tuberculosis. How very very sad.

Does anybody know what was going on at this big "group hug" scene? Wasn't this supposed to be an official function? Why, pray, can we see Haakoon and Mette-Marit kissing passionately instead of looking dignified? (Oh, lovely, how long have they been married? And they are still in love? You know, they're really sweet, those two.)
