I have just been spending quite a bit of time on the Ancestry Website looking for the connection between Diana Princess Of Wales and Peregrine Bertie only to come home , found this website and get an answer in one go.
Would it be more correct to say though that Lady Diana is a direct descendent
of Katherine de Eresby and Peregrine Bertie but not of Maria de Salinas who was
not Katherines mother.
My connection is that i and my sister jackie have taken a keen interest in this family as my Grandfather's Aunt Lucy married Thomas Heathcote in 1862 to become part of the family.
He was the Vicar of Lenton in Lincolnshire before becoming Lord of the Manor in Folkingham in Lincolnshire.
