It sure is! Didn’t someone say Strathmore Rose?
That would be GORGEOUS with that dress!

I don't think she'll wear a veil. I think the dress will be plain and classic rather than a big lacy meringue.

Oh, I think she will absolutely wear a veil. I would expect something similar to Kate's veil for Meghan... thin, filmy, and light but long.
What will be the length of Meghan's bridal train?
I meant the Eli’s Saab dress Pranter. Boy these dresses that are being posted have me sitting here saying ah and ooh every other second. Meghan has some tough choice ahead
I like this gown and the back is beautiful which is a plus because once the bride passes on her way to the altar that is all we see . . . the back! So if a gown has an interesting back view, and I am not talking about Mabel and her bows (heaven forfend) I'm interested. Victoria had a not very deep collared V, Stephanie had a deeper scooped back than I would ever have imagined.I like this dress. It’s simple yet elegant, not fussy. It meets protocol for a royal wedding.

A few British designers. I'd love her to choose a designer perhaps Kate hasn't worn, or not often. Showcase a different designer.

i'd say bare legs in cold weather, don't look good either, or scuffed heels from wearing shoes with no tights or stockings.Americans generally don't wear those heavy tights you Europeans seem fascinated with! Here we think that doesn't look so good!

Probably less than The Duchess of Cambridge's was.
I even like the idea, though would work better without veil, of a cape wedding dress. Seen a few posted here.

I think she can do romantic and look very regal. I don't think she is going to do anything dramatic or edgy.
I've seen some dresses (posted links yesterday etc) where the bottom is soft and romantic and the top is more fitted ...very elegant.
Seeing how she's dressing so far I'm going to guess (for now) she's going to go classic with maybe a touch of romantic.

The setting seems to call for a more romantic gown with a bit grandeur. I'm hoping Meghan agrees.
I agree it calls for grandeur - not certain it needs to be "romantic" in the way I'm seeing it depicted on the thread.
If we mean romantic like Princess Stephanie of Luxembourg - yes I agree. If we mean romantic like some of the dresses I've seen posted - I'm not so sure.
My worry is that if she goes for a lace gown, she'll get compared to Kate, which is really unfortunate since some of my favorite gowns are lace.
I can't remember the royal bride's name - but someone mentioned it earlier - it was the spanish bride? She had the off the shoulder gown with flared skirt in a really heavy fabric and green shoes? That dress looked stunning with her coloring and the fabric was perfect. Unique and lovely. Perfect volume with the skirt and great train for the location. Loved her hair and the whole look.
Do you mean Lady Charlotte Wellesley ? She is the Duke of Wellington's youngest daughter and married Alejandro Santo Domingo in Andalucia last year :

Gorgeous dress (Lady Charlotte) but maybe a bit heavy for spring? Still the style could be done in a lighter material ...some modifications for the top might be required.

Yes - though I wouldn't want to see Meghan repeat the style - but maybe something else that is purely an architectural gown - with an incredible veil to add more drama.
But I also love some of the romantic options I posted above - just not sure she'll go that route.
My bet is she will fall somewhere in the classic/elegant style with a nod to the romantic or perhaps with a modern twist.
I don't see her doing anything fussy, frilly, bedazzled, total lace or a lot of drama. I don't see her doing anything edgy or ultra modern. It's just not likely to be done at a BRF Wedding.
