His Majesty The King has taken the Oath from the new State Secretary for Infrastructure and Environment, Mrs S. Dijksma and from the new State Secretary for Trade and Agricultyre, Mr M. van Dam.

As usual the dresscode was followed: jacquet for gentlemen and "dressed" for ladies.

Today, November 4, King Willem-Alexander opened the first guide dog experience centre of the KNGF Geleidehonden (The Royal Dutch Guide Dog Foundation) at the guide dog school in Amstelveen:

Yesterday, November 12, King Willem-Alexander paid a working visit to the Royal Military Police. He visited the brigade Brabant South in Breda and attended an inspection at the border Hazeldonk.

Yesterday, November 12, King Willem-Alexander paid a working visit to the Royal Military Police. He visited the brigade Brabant South in Breda and attended an inspection at the border Hazeldonk.

Being the military police is only one of the tasks of the Koninklijke Marechaussee. It is more a Gendarmerie force with civil duties. As Prince of Orange the King held the rank of a Brigade-Generaal (a Brigadier in English) in this force but I have never ever seen him in the uniform of the Koninklijke Marechaussee. A pity the King did not wear an uniform for this visit.
