Lucky , this is done before our National Feast. Next to the King stands Mr Alexander De Croo , past Prime Minister.
 
Looking at these pictures, the difference with the northern neighbors is quite glaring. I would recommend Philippe to introduce the Dutch dress code for events like this.
 
Yes it does seem to be a bit informal and very relaxed dress code.
 
The king had given Bart De Wever 3 more days to reach an agreement to form a government. Today the Belgian media are reporting that he will step down. He is expected to meet the king tonight at 8.15 pm and share his decision. This means that the formation of the government is back to (almost) square 1. The king will have to find someone else to take on the role of 'government builder'.
