Dronninga begeistra over at Astrup sin heim har blitt rusta opp

Dronning Sonja er i dag på Astruptunet i Jølster i Sunnfjord kommune. Dronninga skal nyopne kunstnarheimen Astruptunet, som var heimen til den store kunstnaren Nikolai Astrup. Heimen er restaurert slik at den er nærast mogleg slik det var der då han levde der. Dronninga sa sjølv at ho syntest...

Etter fire år med restaurering kunne Hennar Majestet Dronning Sonja endeleg gjenopne kunstnarheimen til ein av dei viktigaste målarane og grafikarane i norsk kunsthistorie.

Yesterday, September 5, Queen Sonja met with the Youth Group of the Children's Cancer Association Oslo and Akershus to decorate the "Tree of hope" at the Palace Garden with "the names of children who have had childhood cancer or who are now in the middle of the battle are written. (..) Every September, trees are decorated all over the country to mark International Childhood Cancer Month. Queen Sonja is this year's patron for @nrktvaksjonen This year's TV campaign goes to the Norwegian Cancer Society, which will establish family houses at the university buildings in Tromsø, Trondheim, Bergen and Oslo"

Princess Christina and Consul General Tord Magnuson welcomed the Queen of Norway to lunch at the Royal Palace.
The Queen has traveled to Stockholm to visit a new exhibition at Prins Eugen's Waldemarsudde with works by the Norwegian artist Lars Hertervig (1830-1902) and the Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Hill (1849-1911).
The Queen of Sweden would have accompanied the Queen of Norway to the exhibition, but has unfortunately had to cancel her participation due to a private funeral within the Sommerlath family.
