Interviews, Speeches and TV appearances of the King and Queen

Wow! Becky Andersen was so sycophantic when talking to Queen Rania - she wasn't so smiley or impressed when talking to the architect and again, they just refer to QR's appearance before anything else

I was surprised when listening to the King speak that I couldn't quite place his accent. It appears to be a mix of an English and American accent when he is speaking in English.

Jobs for Jordan . NOW on PBS

A report on unemployment in the Middle East, with a focus on Jordan, by PBS’s NOW program. Click on the image at top right that says “Video: Jobs for Jordan.”

I didn’t watch the whole video, but Rania is featured heavily at the start.

What Queen Rania wants for the world - CNN.com

enjoyable article on Queen Rania

*quote
*Rania says that being queen is not the trait she defines herself by. "I am not at all conscious of it," she says. "I make a conscious effort not to be conscious of it. Because I'm Rania, you know? People call me 'Queen,' but, you know, that's not me ... I'm Rania."

*When most people think of queens, they probably think of what they know from fairy tales. "For me, it's just real life," Rania says. "I am a mother. I care about my children. I worry about what they eat. I worry about the influences from their friends."

*Rania has become famous around the world for her efforts to improve educational opportunities for girls and the rights of women. "In my mind, poverty is a 'she,'" Rania says

Thanks for finding this article.

I read the article to mean that the first-ever big trip in her life was to Jerusalem, so it probably happened some time ago.

I wasn't sure if that's what they were refering to, it does make sense though.

Does anybody have the video about QR when she went on April 2007 in France for Unesco, Night of Jordanian treasures? There is a link with video in the thread about this event (King Abdullah and Queen Rania Current events April 2007) but it doesn't work, I can't see it, the page cannot be found. Have anybody saved this video???
I just had quick internet and I try to see as many videos of QR as possible.

Thanks reeda.
The article has two new pictures that I hadn't seen before. I like the picture with Hashem.

I have only recently started to take an interest in Arabic royalty and am amazed at the dedication the king and queen have towards their country and people, they are definitly not only "hang up on the wall" royals. They are so involved in their nations progress. I guess it really is an outcome of the state Jordan was when they stargted their reign.
