The black-and-white or navy and white striped dress makes her look about twice as wide as she really is. And the way she ties the belt like she tied the Maroccon Caftan is also extremely unflattering

I stand corrected. Looks like she was just inspired by her Moroccan visit when deciding on this gown - or she picked it for the Moroccan trip and somehow did not end up wearing it?!

Seems likely she bought it for the tour and didnt end up wearing it.

Today's vertical stripes are not flattering at all.

But again her hair looks wonderful.

The pink caftan was rather nice for a change but I don't understand why she decided to wear two Moroccan evening gowns when her home-country of Belgium comes to visit. While Catherine might be taking the 'cultural dressing' to the extreme, Stephanie seems just to have figured that she recently went to Morocco and bought some nice dresses that she could wear on the very first occasion.

And yesterday's white with pink/purple details outfit was quite weird...
I wonder why 2 caftans as well. They're pretty but somewhat puzzling choices. Actually, I expected Natan outfits for the state visit. Hahaha.

October 16th's odd white/pleated/pink scarf outfit was probably created around the multi-colored hat which was originally gifted to Maria Teresa. Maybe MT asked Stephanie to wear the hat somehow. I wish she thought to pair the hat with the white dress she wore for National Day 2018.

The stripes are vertical. I prefer today's black and white dress over the odd white/pleated dress from yesterday. I wish the bow was tied at the back.

I don't mind Stephanie dressing "old." I would like to see some consistency or for her to adopt a some kind of "uniform" like the Japanese royals.

In general I agree. We see a few otherwise lovely royal ladies who struggle with their style and never seem to get it right. The solution would be to find something that suits you and stick to it.

The black and white should be flattering..but it's not. Doesn't look well fitted either.

It's as if she has never heard of a tailor. If her clothes fit her they would look a little better.

:previous: Today and tomorrow is their 7th wedding anniversary, at which Jean Christophe was present.?

As the photo of HGD Stéphanie at the wedding of Prince Jean-Christophe Napoléon and Countess Olympia von Arco-Zinneberg sloooowly loaded from top down on my phone, I was thinking, "Red shoes! Please, red shoes!" Alas, no. But those aren't bad, especially with the coat. I wonder if the coat was a last-minute addition, as Princess Beatrice's appears to be?

Of course, I know nothing about HGD Stéphanie, but I've always had a soft spot for her because of her sweet visage.

Actually happy she didnt have red shoes. Head to toe every single piece red, except the coat, too much. Now if her dress had been a different color, all of her accessories in red would have been appropriate.

I dont think the coat was an after thought. Or she changed her shoe plans as well. It seems the coat and shoes were meant to go together to break up all the red she has going on in the look.

One of her best looks recently. Lovely hair style.

Nice way to spend their anniversary weekend.

No doubt you're right about a surfeit of red. I love that color, and it looks lovely on her.

The color of the gown is pretty but she is in dire need of more support in the bodice, the effect is sloppy.

I am pretty certain that she has worn that gown before. It's a magnificent color, I love it.?

Blue gown is stunning. As is her hair. :flowers:

Usually not fan of the old woman pearls, but they suit the look here.

This recent look not a huge fan. Has an Asian vibe to it. I like the color at the cuffs, but the look kind of makes her look wider.

Odd outfit, doesn’t seem to go with the suit her husband has on, too casual

Sigh...it's pretty bad when your MIL dresses younger than you do.

LaRae

Your right it really is. What is this outfit, the blouse does not go with the jacket.

Wouldn't you love to see her in that light blue outfit? It would be so much better than that awful one she has one.

LaRae

(..) she keeps wearing the wrong things either too small or too big. She needs to have the clothes tailored to fit the body she has now bigger does not hide anything too tight looks ridiculous.

She’s proud to wear that maternity smock!

She's not hiding her pregnant tummy anymore. That must be a relief for her.;)

I'm going to cut Stephanie some slack on her favourite trousers now we've got the happy news. She's glowing! ?

Well now she at least has a reason to wear clothes that are bigger. I don't expect anything to change she is pregnant so comfort is going to come first which is too be expected.

She is lovely and I love her, and now she looks radiant.
