I think it's great to see Salma making links like these for her cancer organisation, it will only help in the long-term.

however, I don't like the fact she gave money to the Saudis, Morocco is a poor contry and imo i money was to be donated that should have been her first priority.

Moroccan groups target teen tobacco, drug use
...A three-week awareness campaign was launched on May 15th by the Lalla Salma Cancer Association. The campaign aims to "make people sit up and take notice, raise awareness of the dangers of tobacco and change behaviour so that people don't start smoking." Congrès SIDIIEF
Under the High Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Salma, the Fourth World Congress of the International Secretariat of Nurses of the Espace Francophone (SIDIIEF) was held at the Palais des Congrès de Marrakech from 7 to 11 June 2009.
This international scientific event held in collaboration with the Moroccan Association of Nursing and sanitation (AMSITS) and the ALSC.
The conference was organized around the theme of health care as a lever for human development. It attracted more than 1 400 nurses in various regions of the Francophone world, came to discuss and share their experiences and knowledge, including nearly 400 Moroccan. These figures represent a record crowd for SIDIIEF.

Thanks for the info, it's a shame she doesn't actually attend these high-profile events. It would make her work seem more valuable and substantial imo.

Hideous outfit though, she looks like she was attending a cocktail party in the 80's with that gaudy ensemble.
 
Thanks for the info and pictures. Isnt this a rare move to release pictures? I know they do release pictures but sometimes dinner events you hardly get a picture or you do months after.
Salma looks nice, the caftan is beautiful but black is not her color.

same style than in Geneva last year, in geneva black pants, shiny beige jacket and a top with some dentel, this time grey pants, shiny lila jacket with a top with some dentel, for me, pants were nice, but imo the ensemble shiny jacket and the top with dental weren't the best choice for this kind of event

Yes!!they release more pics how nice,we hardly get one pic each event,Map become generous let's hope they stay:D
 
Princess Lalla Salma Opens 56th Session of WHO Regional Committee
During the opening of the World Health Organization’s regional committee in Fez, Morocco’s Princess Lalla Salma called for the creation of an anti-cancer solidarity fund for the Mideast,The wife of King Mohammed VI, who chairs her country’s anti-cancer association, said the disease does not have a place in the international community’s top priorities and urged that to change.
