Dark navy is definitely a colour that suits Sophie.

The Countess of Wessex is in Canada at the moment and she has been carrying out some engagements.

Thursday 24/11/11 Sophie was visiting an austism centre in Ontario today, and she had her hair up again. Sophie is loving the "up do" look as of late.

Lovely video thanks and nice articles in Canada. That up do is becoming a favourite with her ... I think she is really looking FAB.
 
Thank you for the extra pictures. Sophie looked lovely in Canada. I am looking forward to seeing the family walk to Sandringham. (Well, Sophie will no doubt arrive in the car with the Queen, unless Kate takes over that position now. Either way, I am looking forward to Christmas, in the hope that Lady Louise will make an appearance.)

Hmm I also waiting to see all family together for Christmas , I hope Sophie will arrive like always :) with the Queen and hope ,really hope with Lady Louise too :rose2: and maybe James ;).I don't think that Duchess of Cambridge will take the place of Sophie IMO :)
 
Sofia seems to be one of the queen's favorite. I think Kate will stay with her husband or in-laws.
 
I love Sophie's look with the up-dos recently. Very classy and sophisticated.
 
Sophie does look very sophisticated as of late. She really is aging wonderfully. I imagine we'll have another up-do at Christmas as well, unless she is unable to do it herself. (Do they have hairdressers when they go on engagements?...)
 
I am not crazy about the grey dress but though her hair looks great wonder if there is not another style she can have it is a bit repeative. The sleeves on the dress are a bit big or something and after all the wonder ful outfits of the Northern Hemisphere summer I think she should stay with colour and I don't class grey as that .... but she is lovely still IMO

Sophie attended a Conference as her role as Vice Patron of the Royal Bath and West of England Society on 21/11/11, which can be seen on the previous page. Some more images have surfaced. I do love the navy shirt Sophie is wearing and the up-do.

The Countess of Wessex also attended St John Ambulance's inaugural first Aid Awards in London last night (30/11/11). Once again, a beautiful dress from Sophie. Is this the dress she wore to William and Catherine's wedding, without the jacket? It's so lovely and her hair looks lovely.

The Earl of Wessex was also on duty recently. He was at Winterfold House School in Chaddesley Corbett near Kidderminster 1/12/11. I love Edward's tie!

I think that dress isn't the dress from William and Cathrine's wedding , but this dress she wore to Albert and Charlene's after civil wedding diner , pic:)

Sophie is just so lovely. Thanks for the extra images. :D I just noticed that there were two Sophie's there, both blonde. Sophie is not a common name, I only know one Sophie and she's my cousin's newborn baby.

Thank you, MagMil and Molly for the wonderful images. Sophie and Edward are great representatives of their country and family. I love Sophie's navy blue outfit and the up-do. The beige dress is lovely as well.
 
I picked up December's issue of 'MAJESTY' magazine at a bookstore near me, and was happy to notice an article on Sophie and her fashion sense. There are some great shots too (if I knew how to scan them, I would), even one of her and Lady Louise at this year's Windsor Horse Show.
 
The St John's gown looks gorgeous on her I believe it is the same one from Monaco. I like the blue colour on her but the outfit is aging IMO.
 
Is it blue or black?... and it is aging because it is too dark. If you are above 35-40 you should not wear black or navy blue close to your face. Even a wintertype person ( with a lot of contrast in your face) above 40 looks better wearing it a bit further away from the face. And Sophie is a light colour type.
Anyway she is 46 , I still think she looks good for her age.

@Molly, the name Sophie is very popular in Holland. Actually I am almost a bit fed up with that name... it has been in the top ten of popular names given to newborn girls for some years now

Cathedral on December 1, I've posted some information of.

The Christmas concert in aid of the SAFC Foundation at Durham Cathedral took place on December 8.
