It's lovely that Louise is honoring her grandfather's legacy in this way.
The sport created a lasting bond between them.

Yes, the press are delighted to see Louise with a nice young man, even though we don't know whether he's a friend-who's-a-boy or a boyfriend! It looks as if he's Australian, or has Australian connections - his Linked In profile says he's based in London but went to Melbourne Grammar School, and is working at an ice cream shop whilst studying at St Andrews.

Giving from his surname, he has to be of Portuguese descent.

It sounds as if his grandmother was Portuguese or Brazilian - Maria Elsa Pimenta Pereira da Silva definitely sounds Portuguese. His brother's name possibly suggests a Scottish connection.

Poor Louise- she's only been seen in public with him once, and this week's Hello! magazine's got a photo of them on the front cover, captioned "The look of love?".
