Coleherne Court, the Former London home of Diana, Princess of Wales is to be granted with English Heritage Blue Plaque. Anna Eavis, English Heritage’s curatorial director says that the plaque commemorating Diana, Princess of Wales's work and contribution will be fitting with her 60th birthday this year.

How very lovely that this blue plaque will be going up outside Coleherne Court - thank you, ⁦@EnglishHeritage⁩, for commemorating such a very happy place for Diana in this way.

I saw the wedding dress when it was on tour in the US. Well worth seeing!

Diana, Princess of Wales received a light blue 1981 Ford Escort Ghia Saloon in May 1981 from Prince Charles as an engagement present. It is to be auctioned off Tuesday 29th of June and could fetch between L30,000 and L40,000. The current owner kept it a secret for 20 years. It still has the original plates and 83,000 miles on it. The auction will be held by:

Is this the best place to discuss the proposed unveiling of the statue of Diana in July?

Hopefully, a new thread dedicated to the unveiling of Diana's statue will be set up by then.

There doesn't seem to be any news about it....

I agree with you Denville, there hasn't been much news about the unveiling of Diana's statue. It's probably because of the G7 coverage and (to some extent) Royal Ascot. Fingers cross, there would be more updates soon.

is it even going to happen? I'd have thought that the Spencers and William would be saying something by now....

This article is mostly about the Venice Film Festival in September (2021), however they are no dummies and lead with the title: 'Kristen Stewart's Princess Diana biopic to screen at Venice Film Festival' and a picture of Miss Stewart as Princess Diana.

2021 Venice International Film Festival will begin on Wednesday, September 1 and ends on Saturday, September 11.

Tidbit: Stewart suffers from hippophobia, the fear of horses.

Sorry about that Dr. Ri...I looked but didn't look hard enough. Please check your link as I found it not to work.

Had to get this in before they close this thread as well.

"This previously unseen image of Princess Diana will go on display at Kensington Palace from Friday 4 March as part of exhibition Life Through a Royal Lens. It was taken by photographer David Bailey in 1988 during a sitting commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery."

She was probably an obscure member of the public who wrote to Diana.....

it is the most likely explaination. Its rather sad to see so many people sellng off Diana's letters.

1995 was such a turbulent and explosive year for the Wales and sad to see this letter go on sale.

Diana must have had a close relationship with the late king to have addressed them to 'Tino' and to have sent such humorous cards!

Charles was also close to King Constantine too. I think Diana and the King probably shared the same rather naughty sense of humour.

I wonder if his family are selling them off?

It is possible that the family ise selling them, but I think it is unlikely. It is possoble that when they sold their London home, they disposed off some personal effects, and these cards are part of that collection.
