No, they did not attend - though Prince Constantine Alexios is even CP Victorias Godson....
Sure, it was appropriate, as it was their wedding. If she was moved enought at that moment to kiss his hand showing her love, it was right for them. And really, on that day, what was right for them is all that counts. I personally loved the fact that he would cuddle her and she would touch his cheek during the day. Lovely. This is a couple that is not in the beginning moments of high emotions. They have been together for a few years and to be this careing just showed signs of true, deep mature love. Wonderful feeling when you are lucky enought to find. Plus, his speech at the reception was just beautiful. I really think that Victoria has indeed found her prince. The whole event was absolutely incredible But was it appropriate to the situation when Victoria kissed Daniel's hands during the ceremony? I'm not sure.....
Yes, I hope so too. And to some point I agree with you, Winnie, although it was a solemn ceremony their behaviour gave away the signs of their mature love. I also found stroking Daniel's face sweet; Victoria must be over the moon judging from all these pictures...Sure, it was appropriate, as it was their wedding. I don't think Daniel has any brothers, so in that case it would be customary to ask the brother of the bride (if she has any) to be a supporter. If you notice, from all the royal weddings we've seen where the groom had a supporter, it was his brother. So that was a nice touch, I agree.
This reminds me that Crown Prince Filipe (and Ari Behn if I'm not mistaken) stood at the alter on his own.
Yes, CP was standing alone at the altar but the media just didn't show...one of his cousins, possibly Juan Filiberto Gomez-Acebo, was his best man and was standing also...just off to the side.
That's sister of King Carl Gustaf - Princess Christina and her husband Tord Magnuson

In the catholic weddings there is no best man , is the mother who accompanies the groom, and the father who accompanies the bride.

That may be true only in Spain, possibly?. I am Catholic but have also attended many Protestant and Catholic weddings here in the U.S. Out of maybe 40 weddings, only three - 1 Catholic, 1 Protestant, and 1 civil wedding performed by a Justice of the Peace - did not have a best man and maid or matron of honor.
Is it only here that we use a best man (I think it may be cultural rather than religious) are is a best man present at other Catholic weddings around the world?

Crap! I can't believe that nobody has the whole dance (not just this first waltz)
