About the dinner at the restaurant on Wednesday evening, Victoria (and Daniel) had wished to benefit local restaurateurs, not be served dinner at the governor's residence but at a restaurant.

Victoria had wished to meet high school students during her visit to Umeå to talk to them about how they have experienced the pandemic.
Agnes Edeljung, Noah Grönberg and Elinor Hannerfors from 3rd year of the Science program, talked to Victoria about how they experienced distance education, which was the main reason for the school visit.
- I was a little jittery and thought it was exciting at first, but after she came and I noticed that she was social and very nice, it became more relaxed and felt like a normal conversation. We told about how we had experienced distance education, says Agnes Edeljung.
- Great fun to meet you, said several students before the Crown Princess left school.
- Great fun to meet you too and what a fantastic school, Victoria answered.

Victoria gave a few minutes ago the welcome speech at the 16th Annual Meeting of the European Society of International Law (ESIL) at Aula Magna in Stockholm University. The meeting is organised by the Stockholm Centre for International Law and Justice (SCILJ).

SWEA International announced in the spring that Victoria was voted as The Swedish Woman of the Year 2021 by SWEA at its annual meeting.
SWEA is a global network for Swedish and Swedish-speaking women who live - or have lived - abroad. With approximately 7,000 members in about 70 branches worldwide, SWEA is the largest non-profit Sweden-promoting organization outside Sweden. Queen Silvia was named Swedish Woman of the Year in 1991.

- When I heard who the Swedish Woman of the Year would be - yes, then it was completely impossible to say no. That it is you Victoria who receives the award. My niece, who I have great respect for and who I really believe will not only represent Sweden - but represent the whole of the young, prospective, future Sweden in a really excellent way. That's why it's very fun to be a part of handing over the Swedish Woman of the Year to you. I'm just an old aunt, but I look at the Crown Princess with joy every day and I feel great pride.

Princess Christina also said that she was involved from the very beginning, when the association SWEA was founded in 1979:
- I was expecting a child, Victoria's youngest cousin Victor, and I became "a kind of honorary Swea" immediately. And I have been for 41 years now. Because tomorrow my youngest son turns 41 years old!

The court about Victoria's events yesterday
16th Annual Meeting of the European Society of International Law (ESIL).
The theme of the conference is "Changes in international law-making: actors, processes, impact". The conference, which is arranged in hybrid format, is attended by almost 500 people from all over the world, with just over 200 being present in Stockholm.

Crown Princess Victoria Named Swedish Woman of the Year — Royal Portraits Gallery

Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson, who is SWEA International's honorary chairman, was also present and handed over the diploma to her niece.
- I follow the Crown Princess's commitment and am so proud of her, Princess Christina admitted. I'm glad that Sweorna has chosen her as Swedish Woman of the Year.
- It was touching to see the heat between the princesses. It really felt like Princess Christina spoke directly from the heart, said Annica Backlund from San Diego.
In addition to the diploma, Victoria received a medallion as a souvenir. It is specially designed by Helene Söderberg in Barcelona. The jewelry can be used both in a necklace and as a brooch.

Victoria participated today in a meeting with the board of the Crown Princess Margareta's Veteran Reserve Foundation. Victoria has been the chairman of the Foundation since 2009. The Foundation distributes grants for project-oriented activities within voluntary defense activities.
Victoria awarded also the Foundation's Merit medal for 2020 to Lennart Back, Therese Åkerstedt and for 2021 to Tina Marberg, Marie Sandberg and Stefan Hallén.

Last week, Crown Princess Victoria visited our business Remake, Stockholm City Mission. The Crown Princess first had a tour where she met participants, volunteers and staff. After that, it was time for the Crown Princess to work on taking out denim fabrics for the production of Remake Stockholm's various garments. The Crown Princess has been the patron of the Stockholm City Mission since 2010.

Victoria wore a blue-flowered dress by the brand By Malina and a pair of matching high-heeled shoes, with her hair tied in a knot.
Whether it is one of Victoria's favorite brands can not be established, but Victoria has on several occasions in recent years been seen wearing creations from By Malina. On Friday 24 September, Victoria visited the Life Regiment's Hussars (K 3) and the Soldiers' Home in Karlsborg.
The regimental commander, Colonel Ola Barvér told about the activities at the Life Regiment's Hussars and Karlsborg's garrison.
At the Swedish Armed Forces Survival School Major Jonas Månsson told about the activities. He also awarded Victoria the new educational badge for survival instructors. Victoria has previously trained as a survival instructor at the survival school.
During lunch Victoria visited Karlsborg Soldiers' Home, which celebrates its 100th anniversary. She is a patron of the Swedish Soldiers' Home Association. The Soldiers' Home's chair, pastor Pernilla Tapper and Manager Elisabeth Kindbom told about the activities and its function for soldiers and veterans.
After lunch, Victoria visited the Flight Unit where Major Nicklas Fredriksson told about the activities and Victoria was given a tour of the remote-controlled craft (RPAS). She got also to help maneuver a craft under the supervision of a pilot.
Victoria visited the Parachute Ranger squadron at the 32nd Intelligence Battalion. Technical chief, lieutenant colonel Per-Allan Andersson, told about the operation. She talked to the paratroopers, got an overview of the squadron's equipment and various functions and test drove squadron's six-wheeler on the terrain course.

The Life Regiment's Hussars (K 3) at its Facebook
Crown Princess Victoria visited K 3 last Friday!
During the visit, the Crown Princess talked to the regiment's staff and tried things like steering an unmanned aircraft, making a fire and riding an ATV. Since she trained as a survival instructor here in the 90's, the Survival School also took the opportunity to refresh her knowledge with some new skills, such as how to get out of handcuffs. During the day, Karlsborg's soldiers' home was also visited. There, the information was given about the important deeds that the soldiers' home does for our staff and relatives.

Obviously today's exercise "Gränsland" with Hemvärnet (Home Guard - National Security Forces) in Sälenfjällen in Rörbäcksnäs is part of the large military exercise around the new Scandinavian Mountains Airport in Sälen on 24th September-2nd October.
We see one of Victoria's bodyguards right behind her, and Victoria's aide-de-camp walks beside her.

Victoria visited the Home Guard's exercise Gränsland in Rörbäcksnäs in Sälenfjällen in Dalarna. She was invited to the exercise by Major General Stefan Sandborg, Chief of the National Home Guard.
During the exercise units from the Armed Forces' central military region solve tasks for eight days.
During the day Victoria met a large number of Swedish and Norwegian Home Guard soldiers who participated in the exercise. Gränsland exercise is implemented in the areas near the border with Norway together with Norwegian Home Guard forces.

The ceremony was also attended by the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Micael Bydén and the Minister for Defence Peter Hultqvist. Victoria said, among other things:
"Defending the west coast has always been of great importance to our country. From Älvsborg's fortress in the 14th century until today. This applies not least to ports for our imports and exports. The supply of a regiment with a new amphibious battalion will greatly increase our ability to protect them if necessary."
Victoria ended her speech by saying that, on the mission given by H.M. The King, she declared Älvsborg's amphibious regiment reinaugurated.

After a very dignified ceremony, Älvsborg's Amphibious Regiment has now been re-established, and thanks to the weather, it became extra memorable. A weather that few places other than the west coast can offer with such regularity.
The Crown Princess visited the troop afterwards and we had the opportunity to inform about our business, which we greatly appreciated.

Just the moment where she would inspect the squad, I knew it would be a key photo. However, I was not sure in which direction they would go. Possibly I could have read the rules or talked to the master of ceremonies, but now I did not have much time so I got a chance. If I took the wrong chance, it turned into running. And quite rightly, I got to run.
It turned out well anyway, I arrived on time and could also tell DN's photographer that now it applies. DN's image is "similar". Now you know why
I chose this one today precisely because here she was isolated and not surrounded by other details.
The rain did not make anything easier for me or my colleagues during the morning or during the ceremony. But it was just a matter of biting and protecting the equipment to the best of our ability. Getting yourself wet is manageable, but if the camera were to shut down… yes, it would be even more challenging. Now the rain still adds a dimension to the picture, so in retrospect everything turned out well.

The court tells about Victoria attending 2021 Virtual Keystone Dialogue today and yesterday.
SeaBOS aims to make the world's fishing industry work more sustainably. The meeting was attended by representatives from the world's ten largest seafood companies, as well as experts and researchers in the field. Victoria began the meeting by highlighting in her speech the successes SeaBOS has achieved during the five years that have passed since the first dialogue, but also highlighted the challenges that remain.
Today the companies and working groups reported on how the work is being done to deliver on the timed goals in different areas. The areas that are given special priority are: IUU Fishing (Illegal, Unreported, Unregulated), antibiotic use, climate change and plastic use.
Victoria summed up the meeting and said:
"Transforming a global industry is like climbing a very high mountain. There are great rewards for those who are brave enough to take the lead. But just like rock climbers secure their ropes, every step that SeaBOS takes needs to be firmly anchored in science."

Victoria attended today at Uppsala University the symposium in connection of Celebrating 50 years of Peace & Conflict Research.
In the first part , a number of researchers presented their research on some of the major societal challenges. They also reasoned about trends in future challenges in their respective research fields. In the second part, politicians and representatives of non-governmental organizations talked about their experiences from work in the field and disaster areas and reflected on the relevance of peace research to their work.

During the week, Crown Princess Victoria visited the Stockholm City Mission to volunteer in our Crossroads business. EU and third-country nationals come to Crossroads for support and advice. The Crown Princess got to talk to participants and staff and take part in a support conversation with a participant who wants to stay in Sweden to study. The Crown Princess also visited the women's ward, where basic needs interventions are mixed with conversations and information about health.
Crown Princess Victoria has been the patron of the Stockholm City Mission since 2010."

Victoria visited today the Center for Diabetes at Karolinska Institutet in Solna to learn more, listen to short lectures and have a tour of the laboratory.

Victoria visited Rolf Luft Research Center also in 2013. On Sunday 14th November is the World Diabetes Day, so obviously that's the reason why the visit was organized this week.

The court published today at website of Victoria visiting the Center for Diabetes at Karolinska Institutet this week on 9th November.
Today (November 14) is World Diabetes Day. Victoria visited the Center for Diabetes at Karolinska University Hospital earlier this week to take part in the latest research. World Diabetes Day is a UN day that focuses on all the millions of people who live with, or are at risk of developing, diabetes.
The disease also affects many children. In Sweden today, 8,000 children live with type 1 diabetes and 900 children fall ill every year.
The visit was carried out in collaboration with the Child Diabetes Foundation, of which Victoria is the patron.

Information officer Ulrika Näsholm from the royal court says that the partial lock down in the Netherlands was the reason Victoria's trip was canceled.
Victoria should have visited Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Nordwijk, participate at the celebration the Swedish Chamber of Commerce's 60th anniversary, but also to get information about the country's sustainability work.
She should also have met Prince Constantijn.
- These restrictions affect all parts of the program planned in Rotterdam, The Hague, Nordwijk and Amsterdam, and they will now not be able to be implemented. Against this background, the Crown Princess's trip to the Netherlands is canceled. We hope we can resume planning at some point later, said Ulrika Näsholm.

Victoria attends this evening the seminar "KTH Baltic Tech Initiative - technical research for the Baltic Sea" at the Royal Institute of Technology.

Svensk Damtidning about Victoria's visit to Paris on 5-7 December.

Starting on Sunday afternoon, Victoria begins her three-day visit to Paris.
She will visit the Swedish Institute and the Fabrique du Métro Museum, meet the French Minister of the Economy and Finance Bruno Le Mair and attend the French-Swedish business meeting in Ivar Kreuger's old bank palace on Place Vendôme.
Before she flies home on Tuesday afternoon, there will also be a visit to the Swedish student dormitory at Cité Universitaire, which celebrates its 90th anniversary.
Will the visit take place, it is not known for sure now.
- The planning for the trip remains, but can be changed at short notice due to the corona situation, says Ulrika Näsholm at the court's information department.

The Princess will participate in a conference with French and Swedish representatives on the decarbonisation of the economy. The fiftieth anniversary of the Swedish Institute and the 90th anniversary of the House of Swedish Students are also on the program to celebrate the relations between our two countries.

05.12. / L'Amitié - The 50th anniversary of the Swedish Institute in Paris
The Swedish Institute, in the heart of Paris, is the only cultural center that Sweden has abroad. In 2021, the Swedish Institute in Paris is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary and throughout the year many activities have been placed under the sign of friendship. It was inaugurated in 1971 with great pomp by Crown Prince Carl Gustaf, now the King of Sweden.
It is quite naturally the friendly relations between France and Sweden that are the starting point, but also a celebration of friendship that crosses generations, artistic expressions and borders. A festive program for both adults and children will be offered. Meetings with artists, site visits and the launch of the book Amitié which sums up the links that Sweden has forged with France during these 50 years.

06.12. / Conference on the decarbonisation of the economy
The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in France, Business Sweden and the Swedish Embassy are organizing a conference on decarbonising the industry with the themes of the value chain, mobility and digitization. In addition to representatives of French and Swedish companies, among others Bruno Le Maire, Minister for the Economy, Finance and Recovery, will speak,
At the end of the conference, the inauguration of "Pioneer the Possible" will take place. This exhibition aims to position Sweden as a natural leader in the energy transition and aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. Interactions with tech and innovation startups are also planned. The day will end with the presentation of the Excellence Prize awarded by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in France to three Swedish companies which have distinguished themselves this year by their success on the French market.

07.12. / Swedish student house, 90 years of history
The Swedish Student House is located in the heart of the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris (CIUP). Today, it has 43 houses and receives more than 12,000 students of 150 different nationalities.
A visit, discussions with students and a concert concludes the program.
