Love the first hat. Suits Mary very well I think

Because it's such a simple piece, the shape and size can afford to be somewhat larger imo, and she wore it very well.

Something as simple as a ribbon can easily compliment. And that it did.

Looking at the hats again, I'm not a huge fan of the black hat she wore with the pink jacket-the second picture. It's not bad, really, just not my favorite- I think that maybe it's too round. The rest of them, I like. And the one from the Christenings, I love!!

i personal think big hats do not look good on mary she seems to look lost in them. where's the smaller hats and head bands look great on her.

That was the hat i was refering too in my earlier post. The one thing that i really didnt like was the factthat it was worn too low that she had to lift her head up all the time

Agreed. The longer hair looks much better on Mary. When she cut it short, IMO she looked about 10 years older. The length gives her a more youthful, refreshed look.

I think that either the hat-bands (the feathers, flowers thingies that I forget the name of) or hats that have an angle to them really work on Mary. Straight, plain hats, like casual straw hats, and really round hats don't seem to work as well.

It was a custom made piece. Like h er floral christening piece. Sometimes you can find them on Ebay. It's a look from a past time. You could also pay to have one made.

I believe the one in Romania is recycled but the flower is different. But maybe someone else can tell better. I love her hat for the state visit. A beautiful and elegant outfit. I wish I had an occassion to wear a hat.

Mary has several Philip Treacy hats - the red bucket-type hat worn at the end of last month, the purple bucket-hat with the feltish flowers around the outside, and the big dark orange hat she wore to one of the pre-wedding events (the one that blow off her head) is also a Philip Treacy too

Hard to say is it good hairdo... Maybe in the other light or better photos than these. On the first she doesn't look good.

Not quite sure if her hair is actually darker, its dark and bad lighting so ill have to wait on that as for her bangs, looks good & nice for a change, I wonder if she had her hair trimmed as well (guess cant judge that from todays pictures)

She looks good with bangs, it's not the first time she's had them. When she first came to Denmark she had overgrown bangs.

Actually she cut them whilst in Denmark. Here is an old photo of Mary (her bangs were growing out at this point); she was in the Copenhagen airport after a weekend in England. I have more photos of Mary (this shot one can see her bangs were growing out at this point) with bangs prior to her marriage.

I much prefer Mary's hair longer and I have loved all the looks since growing it out including the fringe[bangs] but I liked that longer too.I think she's great in any case.

Her new hairstyle reminds me of the hairstyle of her visit to Germany in February 2006.

Crownprincess Mary's new hairstyle: She has now a fringe, she didn't cut the rest of the hair and it is much darker.

Very nice that brown ligth on her hair, amybe a little more light would be better for the effect!

Bangs only look good with a proper hairstyling and not if the hair just covers the forehead, it can make the person (CP in this case) look too casual or even sloppy. On the first occasion it looked good on Mary but was not too sure on the second one. I like her hair darker as she got some nice highlights.
