For Sverre Magnus's baptism, wasn't she wearing a sort of pillbox hat or hair thing?

Well I would say the hat at the Sverre baptism was a pretty, retro look but not a pillbox.
She wore something close to a pillbox to the opening of Parliament in 2004 when she recycled her engagement outfit. I think she looks better in broad-brimmed hats.

She has hats from brittish Philip Treacy (the burgundy one worn many time and the rather ugly IMO purpel with leaves worn to the portrait unveiling) and danish Susanne Juul, she also bought atleast one hat in Australia, here are some pictures of her buying the green one she wore to a preweddingevent.

The ones you have posted off Mary trying hats on are great. it seems shes having fun at it. the red hat she is trying on is beautiful, i dont think she got it, havent seen her wearing it

Thanks - yes the first picture here is with the hairdo I was thinking about from the birthday party - also remember the distinct hairdo from the engagement dinner. But the first picture I referred to must have been from a third occasion then? - since she was wearing her hair loose?

I know what picture your talking about! I don't know what occasion it was...but in the picture she's at dinner and she's talking to the person next to her, right? And I think she's wearing a shawl...I'll try to find the picture.

I really like her new hairdo! IMO it looks cute and suits her alot!

I like her new hair. She sure looks different but the new hairstyle also suits her well, just as the old one did.

I think it also shows that she is really confortable with who she is and the way she looks. Not many people in the public eye would be strong enough to decide on such a change.

Oh yes I agree! I can imagine that shorter hair would suit Máxima or Letizia as well! Maybe we will see the 2 Princesses with shorter hair one day, too..
