I think this is a dress you have to see in motion. The flash seem to make the colors harsh looking.

I was watching the live stream and it looked really good on that. I still like it now, although it's not something I would choose to wear.
Jesper HøvringI really like all, the dress the tiara , the jewelry, I would like to see her shoes! Anyone knows who is the designer of the dress ? the fabric it is incredible! very elaborated .

I've been within reach of Crown Princess Mary as she wore the tiara and it had no sparkle at all. It's an attractive tiara, but not that impressive IMO.Interesting choice of words by the Daily Mail when referring to the CP's diamond, ruby and spinel convertible necklace as a "stunning, decadent tiara". I leave it to the jewelry experts on TRF to judge the quality of the stones in the CP's new go-to tiara.
The Queens should see how to wear perfectly a Collar of an Order ON a Dress.
You need to see the Robyn Utrecht HD pictures to understand the gown. Most of it is embroidered lace - but in a decidedly untraditional embroidered lace style. And there are colors in there that you cannot see in the main press photos. It's quite beautiful and innovative. Also the fabric was obviously difficult to make - and in that way, very regal, IMO. https://robinutrecht.photoshelter.c...NHAGEN-2019/G0000Flo3tqq05kI/C000032_1oVgQGEg.
Thanks for the link! I did change my mind about the dress after looking at the pictures. It's a work of art. Her best? No, but a great dress for New Years Court.

I also love this gown except for the black zipper down the back which cheapens the gown. Tiny buttons would of been much better and more elegant IMHO. I love, just love the fabric, what detail it took to make and hours of hand sewing.
It is so different and nice to see she is not afraid to take a chance on something new. Would love to see it up close and feel the fabric, bad habit of mine is always touching fabrics in stores and shops to get the feel for it......bet this is heavenly gown in person.
