I understand the man was knocked out, but regained consciousness within moments. He was apparently hit in the chest by a horse and probably stomped upon. He has been undergoing checks at the hospital, just in case there are serious internal injuries.I hope he is okay now and I wish him a speedy recovery.
That's awful news about the injured official. He was trying to move spectators out of the way of the approaching horses? Why were they all so close to start with?
In any event, I hope the poor guy's ok.
Always such a lovely event, that I'm sure the family enjoys. A nice traditional event that seems to be well attended. Love seeing the interactions between the siblings.
Love these ones of the kids and the winners and staff

Yes accidents can occur anytime, thankfully the man is doing better. The family has enjoyed this event over the years.
all 4 are growing up quickly, or at least it seems fast
Are you sure that Christian hasn't reached that stage where he wants to look cool and his Mother is actually messing with both him and his hair? The caption to these three pictures could read: "Åh mor, altså"! - Yes, since it's pretty much the same in every language ? insert your own sentence.

It's really nice to see that the DM maintains its razor-sharp perception of something of which they know little or nothing and report with their usual attention to detail . . . I mean it's hard to differentiate between two legs and a man and four legs and a horse! And the inevitable article from Daily Mail: Crown Princess Mary and family witness horror accident | Daily Mail Online
Full of errors. The man didn't fall from a horse.
The Hubertus Hunt does not mark the end of the hunting season. The hunting season has AFAIK not even begun yet. It marks the end of the horse-racing season for these particular riders.
The race is 11 km long.

It is certainly named after the saint. But AFAIK it also the end of the riding season for these mostly "hobby-riders".Oh my, those children are changing every time we see them! They do seem to enjoy this event. Good to know the official isn't seriously injured.
Re the hunt: I thought it was to coincide with the feast day of St. Hubert, which is on Nov. 3. He is the patron saint of hunters and hunting.
The Hubertus Hunt is always (since 1900) on the first Sunday in November. Since it originally was a fox-hunt this day was probably indeed chosen because the first Sunday usually is around the feast day of St.Hubert, though rarely on the 3rd itself.Re the hunt: I thought it was to coincide with the feast day of St. Hubert, which is on Nov. 3.
