She looked stunning in this all-lace dress. The blush tone colour was lovely on her.

She looked wonderful even though I was expecting a big Maxima hat. The blush colored lace and the diamonds. I just noticed she's wearing the diamond star brooches on her "hat". She and Marie-Chantal were my best dressed.

I don't mind her overall look but the hat, seriously what was she thinking, its quite hideous IMO. I would've loved a headpiece or a proper hat with a brim.

I'm not keen on the black hat either. Maxima has been having strange choices in hats lately. Some of the hats she wore on her last trip were a bit odd looking as well.

I kept looking at all her photos with the black hat and in none of them that she looked fresh/young. She looked old and wrinkly.
On the other hand, the hat at the wedding of W and C made her look good. I actually like this pink turban sort of a hat.

I am really not liking this outfit. Normally I would like the pieces of an outfit seperately and they have just been put with the wrong things but this time I don't like either the hat or the suit.

Hard to understand how she can look perfectly elegant abroad (recently in Germany, London) but frequently clownesque when at home - the skirt of the suit looks like it was sewn together from dish rags, the un-matching hat might be one of the ugliest I've ever seen.
This outfit isn't fun, it's just ridiculous.

As usual Boris, you nail it! "Clownesque" is the word I was looking for. Seriously, I have a kitchen towel in exactly the same pattern!

I can only agree. That outfit was hideous and indeed simply "clownesque". Her make-up even supported that whole clown-look. Weird hat. All in all a very strange outfit.

The suit itself isn't too bad but it's the hat that I believe ruined it.

The hat seemed a little funny to me at first sight. But later it grew on me. The red&white suit is not her best outfit but still looked fine on Maxima IMO.
