I'm happy to constate that the Crownprince is very active...Maybe he could be a great Emperor. Japan will really need it in this hard modern world.
Vanesa.
I think it's awesome that he can play a musical instrument with his local orchestra. How many Princes can do that? The CP played the viola with Tokyo Orchestra, as told by the Mainichi Shimbun:
Crown Prince Naruhito plays viola with Tokyo orchestra - The Mainichi Daily News
Crown Prince Naruhito cuts a branch of a cypress tree planted by Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko in 1990 at Hyakkadai forest park in Unzen, Nagasaki Prefecture, on Oct. 4, 2009. The prince later attended this year's national tree planting ceremony at prefectural Hyakkadai park

It is sad to learn that Crown Princess Masako was unable to attend a birthday ceremony for Empress Michiko. Hopefully she will be able to undertake some official engagements soon. At the same time, it is nice to see Crown Prince Naruhito delivering a speech devoted to such important cause as sanitation, which is viewed as a pivotal element of reducing life-threatening maladies (e.g., cholera, worms, diarrhoea or pneumonia). Looking at the photos, I can not help noticing that Crown Prince Naruhito gained a few pounds.
