Sophie Magdalena was the Queen Consort from 1771 to 1792 when her husband Frederick V of Denmark reigned as the King of Sweden.
Is it safe to conclude that Princess Madeleine was christened with the first name of Madeleine (Magdalena) to pay tribute to Queen Sophie Magdalena?

I notice Carl Philip had the cradle meant for the heir apparent. I thought everyone knew the succession law was going to change on Jan 1, 1980. Why have that cradle, and the crown of the heir apparent at the christening when he wouldn't have that title the following year?

Because the christening took place on August 31st 1979 when Carl Philip was still the heir apparent

I found this photo on the Royal Court's Website. I believe the fonts are different because the churches are different.

Yes it is different fonts. The silver one i s used in the Palace Church at the Royal Palace, while the one in gold is used at Drottningholm Palace Chapel.

I had planned on watching all 3 christenings of Victoria, Carl Philip & Madeline but it seems if you are outside Sweden this is not possible via svt.se

I have never seen their full christenings only bits and pieces of each. I suppose it's their policy but I would like to see them maybe one day. Rather disappointed.
