:previous: Charlotte looks beautiful, really glowing ?

She does look really well. It's a Foundation that does a lot of good work.

Charlotte attended the inauguration of a space dedicated to the publications of the laureates of the Philosophical Meetings of Monaco at the Médiathèque de Monaco this afternoon, June 16:

Dimitri is such a good looking guy when he cuts his hair.:whistling:

Charlotte appears much more content these days. Often we see her with a pleasant smile, any surliness seems to be left in the past.

This is Charlotte at her best!! Too bad my 3 years of HS French weren't quite enough but I found her reading list on Chanel's website. https://www.chanel.com/en_WW/fashio...1_us&utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=smaorganic.

I agree. She seems to have finally achieved a balance of satisfaction in both her personal and professional lives. The depth and passion with which she discusses books in these videos is just wonderful....there is nothing contrived and precious about it....which is how i often feel when she talks about philosophy.

Her collaboration with Chanel is simply perfect for her. I wish Karl was here to see it.?

I haven't watched the video yet, but I'd like it better if she didn't.
We are offered every single days of our lives lists of books written only by men. And the same thing can be said about lists of movies directed by men, paintings, athletes, etc

And nobody thinks there is a need to explain why half of the humans on this earth are excluded.
It is long time to do the same with woman names. An all woman list should need no more explanation than an all men list.

I agree! Recently she recommended a few books by female writers which I had never heard of. I am doing some research about them, because I am always looking for new interesting books to read in English. Charlotte is an educated and intelligent woman , quite unusual in royal circles.

The only thing that bothers me is their discussion of Virginia Woolf. I have read several of her books and found them all very depressing. She must have been very unhappy with her life because she committed suicide. I do not really see that she is so important for women's emancipation, but maybe I am wrong and wasn't able to understand everything I read .

Excellent video showing further collaboration between Charlotte and Chanel showcasing the depth of her literary interests. This particular "rendezvous" paid tribute to the work of Virginia Woolf. Keira Knightley read an extract from ‘Professions for Women’, a speech Virginia Woolf gave to the National Society for Women's Service in 1931. British author Jeanette Winterson CBE gave a powerful speech about the life of Virginia Woolf. Ongoing discussion continued with Charlotte, authors Erica Wagner, Jeanette Winterson and Kiera. It felt like sitting in to an upper division literature class or perhaps the Bloombury Set back in the day.:D

Thank you for sharing the video. I will watch it and hope to get some insight about Virginia Woolf's importance for women's emancipation.
What was the Bloombury Set back in the day? I have read Woolf, Vita Sackville-West and some others of that time. but most of them were just very rich women who dared and could afford to live a life which at that time was quite unusual.
