The gorgeous and imposing Guardian of the Saloon photo with the wide, grand staircase in the background makes me think living in these ancient English country mansions must be like living in a museum! Surely, there are ghosts presiding in some rooms or wings.

"Something odd turned up out of the blue in my mail this week - the nameplate from my grandfather’s umbrella. It would be from some time between 1910-1922 (when he was “Lord Althorp”). The sender (a priest, who I don’t know) came across it, and kindly sent it to @althorphouse - saying it was time it came home."

Nice photo and comments about the visit :flowers:

Its associated with Bulgari, which Kitty is a spokesmodel for. She has become involved in both Save the children, and the Elton John Aids foundation which Bulgari is a major sponsor of both. And helped raise money for them. Nice to see her not just raising money but seeing the work first hand.

Charles Spencer is 54 years old. Its not unusual for a man to be totally gray by that age. Or bald.

Not surprising, if true. Girls I know have always been into older guys. Some of them feel the guys their own age are far too immature to date.
