I didn't think there was an age limit for page boys. My niece is planning on having her 14 year old cousins as her page boys.
Interesting that the King & Queen will attend the smaller event at the British cemetery, and not the larger event at Omaha Beach, where the other world leaders will be present. I presume this is because of the ongoing cancer treatment that HM is undergoing, and wanting to avoid very large crowds. Here's the itinerary for the 80th anniversary of the D Day Invasion. The British Royal Family will be undertaking events in the UK and in France. Nearly all of the working royals will be present at events with the exception of the Princess of Wales, the Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra of Kent.
That is correct. And perhaps this may be a model going forward where, from time to time, for larger public events like this, the royal cousins are brought in to support the working members of the family.I've seen Beatrice and Eugenie at garden parties before, but never Zara (and Mike) and Peter. I think it's wonderful they were there supporting William. And really the three girls added fantastic glamour (and relative youthfulness) to the occasion.
Lets see. A state banquet is a much smaller event, with c150 - 200 guests, versus c8,000 guests at a royal garden party. If C&C, William, Anne & Tim, E & S and the Gloucester's are around, further royal ballast may not be needed.I wonder if we will see them all again at the Japanese State banquet maybe.

Other than family events they were very rarely out like this.Is there a reason the Phillipses were not in attendance in the past?
If the non-titled Peter Phillips and the Tindall’s can be there, i think it’s very likely that the nobility-titled Louise and James may also attend down the line… But as Louise is at St Andrews University and James at Radley College, it will probably be a while. Will we ever see Louise and James at garden parties ever?
No, it's been shortened this year because of the General Election, which takes place tomorrow. The King attend the Garden Party as this was organized for him.
To day the King attend the Thistle Service .
Will He attend the whole Week ?
