Queen Máxima handed out this year's Appeltjes van Oranje during a ceremony in Den Haag today, June 6. This year's awards went to Buddy to Buddy, the Yets foundation and the Excel Arts Academy.

Due to the current corona virus situation the annual Appeltjes van Oranje presentation can't take place at Noordeinde Palace as usual.

This year Queen Máxima will attend an online celebration.

I wonder why they decided to move the event to the fall last year (and contimued it this year), until 2022 it took ook place in Spring (May).
