The problem for Kate is where does she go from here? Everything that she's done over the last 3 years or so has been tailored to suit the royal family and now that's gone. Breaking up with someone you've been with for so long is terrible enough, but I imagine the extra upheaval this will cause...

I understand what you're saying, but I think the reason for Kate looked much less carefree when she is with William is the amount of scrutiny she's under. When she's with William, even more people are watching, there's no room for slip-ups, she's probably talking to very important people and...

But her outfit seems to match the look William is taking though. That jacket and vest number that William has on isn't exactly hip and youthful either! I suppose there must be certain 'ways of dressing' for events such as that. :)
