Lovely pictures, and more appealing than the recent one of the Crown Prince Couple. That gray background looks so flat! Joachim's eyes are even bluer than Frederik's, and very striking.

Keep in mind that this was just a few days before the announcement of Alexandra's impending divorce. I'm sure they were both preoccupied, and even stressed - especially Joachim. He now has to help his sons cope with a second divorce.

Are Alexandra's parents still living? It was very generous of Joachim to allow them to live at Schackenborg after the divorce. I too felt for Felix - he looked so uncomfortable in those pictures. The press should have been satisfied with just pics of Alexandra and left him out of it.:sad:

On one of the other royal discussion boards, one of the posters mentioned that Alexandra should have returned her orders and the diamond tiara she received from the Queen when she and Joachim divorced. That beautiful tiara (the Alexandrine diamond drop tiara) was an 18th birthday gift for QM...

That's too bad, but somehow I'm not surprised. They always seemed like a mismatch to me, but who knows what brings (and keeps) two people together. At least they didn't have any children together.
