The Duke of Edinburgh was in Monaco this week for The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation.

He attended a charity dinner, visited the International School of Monaco, the British School of Monaco and St Paul's Anglican Church Monaco. Yesterday evening he attended the Blue Marine Foundation reception hosted by Prince Albert.






And today, September 26, the Duchess of Edinburgh opened the Domaine Evremond winery at Chalk Hill, Chilham, Kent:

Today, October 1, the Duke of Edinburgh was in Hereford, he visited the Herefordshire Veteran Support Centre, Holme Lacy College and the New Model Institute For Technology & Engineering's Centre for Advanced Timber Technology. As a Member of the Court of Assistants of The Worshipful Company of Haberdashers he opened the Haberdashers' Monmouth School:

Today, October 4, as Royal Colonel of the 5th Battalion The Rifles she attended a Homecoming Parade at Ward Barracks, Bulford, Wiltshire. The battalion had been on a six-month deployment in Estonia:

Today, October 5, the Duchess of Edinburgh as President of GirlGuiding attended a "planned contact with the International Space Station as part of a visit to promote the engagement and involvement of girls and young women in STEM" at Brooklands Motor Museum in Weybridge:

How lovely that the pair is visiting the island where their parents(-in-law) lived for awhile.

The Duchess of Edinburgh is certainly undertaking a lot of oversea's trips!
And I imagine this will continue to be the case. There are relatively few British royals that can undertake such trips, certainly not with any regularity, due to either their advanced years or health issues.

Yes I agree. Sophia works really hard in difficult areas, but never appears to receive the recognition the subject deserves.
 
Both Sky News and the BBC reported on the civil war in Sudan, which is what's causing the refugee crisis in Chad, yesterday. That's presumably due to Sophie's visit. So she's done an important job on helping to bring it to people's attention.

The Duke of Edinburgh was in Barnsley today, October 17, to visit Barnsley Youth Choir at St Mary's Church, the Exodus Project, Barnsley Town Hall and Town Centre:




In the evening he attended a performance of "The War of the Worlds" at Wilton's Music Hall in his role as Patron of The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain:
