The bride looked radiant and the tiara/dress and veil were all perfect as were the settings too!The wedding reception locale was absolutely spectacular! It took place right on the beach with thousands of tiny candles placed directly on the sand/shoreline leading to the sea.
There was a raised area outdoors with round tables for dinner and a pavilion under a canopy for maybe dancing? The photos are in the cake cutting IG.
Kudos to Anne Marie or whomever planned this wedding. Everything was beautiful.
Thanks Lula, these are some new photos I haven't seen before. They are great!! Everyone looks much more relaxed, having fun in the post wedding reception photos.
I don't know if it is considered a family reunion but the three sisters and their kin gathered together in December 2014.No, in the last 24 years since Queen Ingrid's death the Greek cousins did not annually spend summers with the Danes. It was Queen Ingrid who loved to unite all her grandchildren in Graasten.
In Margrethe's time there were 2 family reunions, once at Christmas in 2006 and once in the summer in 2022. I also remember Princess Alexia in Graasten in the summer after Christian's birth. And the Greeks were invited to the big royal events, jubilees, birthdays and weddings, of which there were many.
I guess they will also be invited in the future and perhaps there will be special reunions or invitations of one or the other cousin (this year it was Gustav and Carina) but the annual gatherings are definitely a thing of the past for a while now.
Queen Sofia got a lot of attention. I liked when she was supposed to go up on the carpeted steps and right away changed her mind like if thinking 'I'm not risking tripping on that carpet!' and got her grandkids to escort her to the safer steps.Guests arriving: Hannover's
Princess Benedikte, Princess Alexandra, Count Michael and Count Richard
Queen Sophia, the Infantas and 3 of Christina's children
I agree. Unpopular opinion perhaps but the bridal gown would have been even more successful the way Theodora wore it for her dinner reception. I am not even sure why the "bib" was necessary? The bride looked radiant and the tiara/dress and veil were all perfect as were the settings too!
I think the main reason for the "bib" is to cover her shoulders while in the cathedral. To meet that criteria she liked the look of it on her dress. I agree though the dress was gorgeous without it at the wedding reception.I agree. Even so, she looked absolutely beautiful.
completely agree about tge ''bib''.I agree. Unpopular opinion perhaps but the bridal gown would have been even more successful the way Theodora wore it for her dinner reception. I am not even sure why the "bib" was necessary?

I have seen IG photos of M-O and Nina Flohr barefoot at the reception dancing wildly. One of Infanta Cristina's sons joins them with a drink in his hand. What fun!
I think this might be(along with Beatrice of York's) my favorite recent Royal wedding.
I thought that was the purpose of it too until I studied close ups of the dress with the top removed. The sleeves were short but her shoulders were definitely not exposed. It would have been perfectly fine for a church wedding imo, but if Theodora preferred the covering that's what was important.I think the main reason for the "bib" is to cover her shoulders while in the cathedral. I see what you mean about the sleeves once the cover was off, a capped sleeve would probably be just enough. The gown really was exquisite! I'm excited to see her additional dress of the night, for dancing.I thought that was the purpose of it too until I studied close ups of the dress with the top removed. It's a very beautiful gown with exquisite crystal beading.
I read on another Forum that after dinner she changed into yet another dress for dancing.
I hope someone took a photo.
I thought it was always part of the dress.I think the main reason for the "bib" is to cover her shoulders while in the cathedral. To meet that criteria she liked the look of it on her dress. I agree though the dress was gorgeous without it at the wedding reception.
Here’s a nice article from Town & Country with information about her dress (beautiful shot of the veil) and the historic tiara she wore:

Something is really confusing me regarding that exquisite veil. Every article that I have read about poor Margaret of Connaught (including Wiki) said that she requested and was buried in her bridal veil....but meanwhile it's been worn by so many recent Royal brides. Here’s a nice article from Town & Country with information about her dress (beautiful shot of the veil) and the historic tiara she wore:

Her request was that she was covered in the veil in her casket, but that it be removed prior to burial and left to her daughter.

Can anyone clear this up?
I saw many members of his family at wedding. Is he of Indian origin? At least the lady i saw (presume his mother) seem so, the gentleman also. Other people also seem to be his siblings and a young boy his nefew ?
He seems to be a gentle person, furthermore his legal issues are not an agreable situation.
It is true he showed high enthusiasm... but this can be explained because after 2 postponing.... be married finally is a great relief..
