Thank you, Stefan, for this snippet!
I wonder, how these foundations look like. Because they can be problematic: The family fortune is so-to-say "frozen" in these funds. And in the case of external shocks or other troubles it might be impossible, to manage them actively, to sell parts etc.
There is a new for the House of Hohenzollern. Prince Alexander the son of Fürst Karl Friedrich has no interest to became Head of the family and the Family business and has other Plans for his Life. Yes, but his ex-wife was noble and she’s Alexander’s mother. Nina de Zomer, his current wife isn’t going to have any children with Fürst Karl. Anyways, Alexander just doesn’t wasn’t to take on the responsibilities of the headship and the running of the family companies among other things so it has nothing to do with his marriage to his American bride and you are partially right the marriage is not the issue.Perhaps because he sees his future in the US? I doubt the father will have problem with his daughter-in-law not being a member of the nobility as he himself married a non-noble woman as well.
Which jewels? You mean the sapphire jewels? Weren’t those ones owned by Johan-Georg of Hohenzollern, ex-husband of Princess Birgitta?I think this could also be a reason that last year several of the Families Jewels have been sold at auction.

You might be right. The only information I found is that there is a Hohenzollern-Emden branch (Wikipedia) he is part of that branch, but they didn't take care to complete the info on Wikipedia. That happens (you might remember my question about the Count Matuschka-Greiffenklau ancestry) if family members don't care to add new infos.Does anyone know who Prince Harald's parents are? I can't find him anywhere in the Hohenzollern family tree, so I'm wondering if he's another fraud, like the guy who runs the hotel in Scotland...
I think there are. The princess Anna von Hohenzollern of Castle Namedy and her mother both do (see the link I posted)It is, yes. But perhaps there is another branch of the family that still uses the title Prince of Hohenzollern? I am not sure. I don't think the House of Prussia branch does - they usually go by Prince or Princess of Prussia instead.
The Hohenzollern-Emdens are a recognized sub-branch of the Hohenzollern-Sigmaringens, but there are no male line descendants anywhere in this branch called Harald. Franz Joseph had three sons - Karl Anton, who left no issue, Meinrad who left a daughter, and Emanuel, whose only son Carl also has no issue.
Princess Anna and her mother, the former Heide Hansen, are the daughter and wife respectively of Prince Godehard of Hohenzollern, so they are recognized, and listed in all family genealogies.
This Harald chap is nowhere to be found. Which makes me smell a liar
