Victoria inaugurated today the "Värld av vatten" (The World of Water) exhibition at the Swedish Museum of Natural History in Stockholm. She had Oscar with her.

Victoria spoke at her speech among other things about her snail Johanna
"When I was a child, I had a snail, or perhaps rather a small shell, which I named Johanna. I found Johanna one summer on Öland and insisted on taking her home to Stockholm.
It went well at first. But then it got cold. And I realized that Johanna might not survive the winter. So I asked mom and dad what to do. They did not know, but contacted the Museum of Natural History..."

The Museum has been closed since the end of August last year and is opened for public tomorrow.
On August 16, 2023, a 200-300 kilo piece of plaster fell from the ceiling in a room where collections are stored and where visitors are not allowed to stay. As the roof construction is the same in parts of the public areas, some of the museum's eleven exhibitions, Cosmonova, shop and restaurant were also closed. However, the museum could still be partially open. But on August 29, the entire museum was closed for an extensive renovation, as there was a risk that the plaster on the ceiling of the entrance hall could fall down.

Victoria inaugurated the National Museum of Natural History's new base exhibition World of Water by dropping blue paint into a vase of water. The exhibition tells about water, a prerequisite for all life as we know it, from the origin and development of life to today's environmental impact and climate change.
Minister Parisa Liljestrand, Victoria and Oscar were given a guided tour of the exhibition.

Victoria visited in May the Asthma and Allergy Association, which is supported by Crown Princess Victoria's Fund.
"Everyone has the right to an active leisure time," says Victoria during the visit to the Asthma and Allergy Association. "It is so incredibly important to be strengthened as an individual, and also to be stimulated and develop. We wish that for everyone."
Crown Princess Victoria's Fund supports projects for children and young people living with disabilities. The projects should break isolation, raise the quality of life and strengthen the self-esteem of children and young people living with a disability, including mental illness and chronic illness. One of these projects is run by the Asthma and Allergy Association.

During the Victoria concert on July 14, the film from the project will be broadcast.

Victoria, UNDP Goodwill Ambassador, gave today an audience to the Administrator of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Achim Steiner. Caroline Åberg, head of UNDP Sweden, and Annette Froese, adviser to Achim Steiner, were also present.
Victoria and Steiner discussed, among other things, Victoria's trip to Bangladesh together with UNDP, COP 30 which will take place in Brazil in 2025, and the Summit of the Future which will take place in New York in September this year.
Achim Steiner talked also about the People's Climate Vote report and the meeting on the reconstruction of Ukraine in Berlin.

Victoria attends the Nordic Foreign Ministers' Meeting N5 at Artipelag in Stockholm. She was welcomed by the Minister for Foreign Affairs Tobias Billström, who hosts the meeting.

Topping the agenda at the meeting are current security issues, including Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine, the upcoming NATO summit in Washington DC and the situation in Israel and Palestine.

Victoria visited today the Sättra farm in Upplands Väsby together with Race for the Baltic on the occasion of the Baltic Sea Day.

Race For The Baltic is a solution and business oriented non-profit organisation founded by Zennström Philanthropies. Its mission is to improve the health of the Baltic Sea.

Victoria participated in an attempt to spread gypsum in the work to stop the eutrophication of the Baltic Sea.(..)

Victoria gave an interview to Svensk Damtidning's Helena Wiklund.
In a two hours visit Victoria became very involved in the project that will reduce phosphorus leakage from agriculture and eutrophication in the sea. Victoria's love for the Baltic Sea shone brightly, she has had that since she was little. The Baltic Sea brings so much joy and is wonderful in so many ways. Victoria is happy that she can give her children joy and a feeling for the Baltic Sea. She wants them to feel safe there, feel the Sea, we have to work on, to awaken the feeling and create an understanding of our nature so that our next generation will also care. This summer she has devoted a lot to awakening Estelle and Oscar's sense of nature.
But you become very worried when you understand how bad the situation is, she has talked to many knowledgeable people. It is low in oxygen and overfed, temperature changes and invasive species, a sensitive sea. That is why it is so positive when there are forces that want to make a difference.

Victoria attended this afternoon the Raoul Wallenberg Prize Award ceremony at the Central Post Office.
She handed out the Young Courage Awards, the Honorary Prize to Jan Eliasson and the Raoul Wallenberg Prize to Deqa Abukar.

This year is 80 years since Raoul Wallenberg traveled down to a world war to save as many Jews as possible from the Holocaust.
It was surely a memorable moment for Victoria to give the Honorary Prize to 83-year old Jan Eliasson, who is said to be one of her mentors.

About the Young Courage Awards:
This award honors young individuals between the ages of 13 and 20 who have demonstrated great courage and humanity with limited resources.

About the Honorary Prize
The Honorary Prize is awarded to Jan Eliasson for a lifelong commitment to Raoul Wallenberg's spirit.
Jan has devoted a large part of his life to promoting human rights in Sweden as well as in the world. During his time at the UN, Jan has been involved in the creation of the UN Human Rights Council and pushed through January 27 as a memorial day for the Holocaust. He has also visited schools to highlight Wallenberg's work and the importance of continuing to work in his spirit. Jan's work has been characterized by dialogue, inclusion and the equal value of all people. The recipient of the Honorary Prize is awarded an engraved statue representing Raoul Wallenberg's briefcase, created by artists Ulla and Gustav Kraitz.
About the Raoul Wallenberg Prize
The Prize is awarded to a person who works in Raoul Wallenberg’s spirit, through knowledge increasing efforts for children and youth about xenophobia, intolerance and all humans equal value.
The Raoul Wallenberg Prize is awarded to entrepreneur Deqa Abukar. As a co-founder of the organization BLING, Deqa has shown an outstanding commitment to democratizing entrepreneurship and making it accessible to underrepresented social groups. BLING was founded in 2014 and is a platform that supports everything from tech companies to social entrepreneurs, and provides access to rooms and networks that are usually otherwise closed. In addition to that, Deqa Abukar also runs Womenisa, a network for female entrepreneurs.
The winner receives a diploma, SEK 100,000 and a statue representing Raoul Wallenberg's briefcase.

Victoria got the chance to honor her friend Jan Eliasson, 83, in front of the cheering crowd. And his and Victoria's paths have indeed crossed over the years - after all, Jan Eliasson has been the UN's Deputy Secretary-General, ambassador, Minister for Foreign Affairs and director of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
But above all, Jan Eliasson has also served as Victoria's mentor, during many long hours and confidential and committed conversations. And it was a fond reunion up on stage.

Victoria attends this evening a dinner Prime minister Ulf Kristersson hosts in honour of the Amir of the State of Qatar, HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, at the Sager House (Prime minister's residence).

The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended on Monday the dinner banquet hosted by Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden HE Ulf Kristersson, in honor of His Highness and the accompanying delegation at the Prime Minister's residence "Sager House" in Stockholm.

Victoria attended today a meeting of Crown Princess Margareta's Veteran Reserve Foundation (Kronprinsessan Margaretas Landstormsfond). She is the chairman of the Foundation's Central Council.

Victoria attended yesterday evening Norrsken Impact/100 and unveiled the prestigious Impact/100 list. Chosen from over 3000 applicants, Norrsken Impact/100 are putting the 2024 Norrsken Accelerator batch on stage. They are tackling some of the most pressing issues and are working on unique ideas to make the world a better place.

Victoria attended an event at Norrsken House. There attention was paid to young and promising growth companies that offer solutions to global challenges. The Norrsken Foundation launched its annual Impact 100 list, which compiles the world's top impact companies.

Victoria gave today an audience to Ahunna Eziakonwa, Assistant Secretary-General and Director of UNDP Africa Bureau. At the meeting also attended Deputy Director UNDP Nordic Representation Office Caroline Åberg, head of UNDP Sweden Stina Amnebjer and Mintwab Zelelew, advisor to Ahunna Eziakonwa.
Victoria received information about UNDP's work on the African continent.
Ahunna Eziakonwa also shared her reflections from the Summit of the Future which took place in conjunction with the opening of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Victoria is UNDP's Goodwill Ambassador for the Sustainable Development Goals.

Victoria attends on Saturday November 16 the Swedish Women's Voluntary Defence Organization's (Svenska Lottakåren) national conference and 100th anniversary celebration in Skogshem & Wijk, Lidingö.
Victoria is the patron of the organization. She will give a speech and deliver the Royal Medals of Merit in gold. at the event.
