Summer Holidays with the Swedish Royal Family: 2016-

Today singer and songwriter Niklas Strömstedt had concert in Solliden Sessions. No members of the royal family attended (Last year the King, Victoria, Daniel, Carl Philip and Sofia attended his concert). Niklas's wife, TV-host and journalist Jenny Strömstedt was there, and also fashion designer Christer Lindarw, who has recently designed a lot to Victoria.

Yesterday's star E-Type published a photo with the royal family:
"Many thanks for a fantastic evening with our lovely Royal Family and an incredibly well-singing audience at the beautiful @sollidensessions What a summer memory!"

This evening most members of the royal family have chosen Molly Sandén's concert at Borgholm Castle ruins. I thought they would attend this concert, Molly sang at Carl Philip and Sofia's wedding and is their friend.
Only Chris, Nicolas and Julian (of course) are missing. Chloe and Anais Sommerlath are also there.

At Solliden Sessions this evening "Musical evening at Solliden"
West End stars Emmi Christensson and Peter Johansson, there are really fine gems from the musical world with everything from "Phantom of the Opera" to "We will rock you".

I guess Chris is less into the typical summer activities of his in-laws, such as visiting concert. He is also the only one who didn't grow up in Sweden (among the 6 by now (soon to be) middle-aged royals), so might not be familiar with the music.

About the last two concerts: E-Type sings in English, Molly Sandén sings also a lot in English, so these concerts would have been easier to Chris.

True. However, unlike his wife and brothers- and sisters-in-law, he might not be familiar with the songs, making it less appealing.

Those are some lovely photos of the family enjoying themselves. I think the ones of Queen Silvia hugging Estelle are particularly lovely.

Yesterday there wasn't any concerts at Solliden Sessions or Borgholm Castle ruins. The next concert at Solliden Sessions is on July 25 and the next concert at Borgholm Castle ruins on July 23. Maybe part of the families have now left Solliden to do some summer trips. The King and Queen attend the traditional Enthusiast Vehicle Exhibition on July 28 and the Olympics on August 5-11. Will we see them in Villa Mirage now or go there just before the Olympics?

During the sunny Saturday in July, Mikael Johansson got a pleasant surprise when he was on his way home from the holiday week on Öland.
- When we drove on the road, it was blocked off, I saw that it was Säpo there and then the royal family arrived. The king drove his fine old tractor, says Mikael.
Bodyguards cycled behind and in front.
Prince Daniel and Queen Silvia sat on the tractor's hayloft, and further back Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Estelle rode on horseback.
- It was fun to see, it's cool to see them so free, it really felt like they were having free time.

Great to see them so relaxed.

Although she's released a few songs in English, Molly is mainly a Swedish language singer. In fact she's of the most successful Swedish singers in the last decade and one with a royal stamp of approval after her performance at the wedding of Carl Philip and Sofia.

Victoria, Daniel, Estelle and Oscar were this evening at Miss Li's sold out concert at Borgholm Castle ruins. With them they had Daniel's friend Andreas Nylin and his girlfriend. Also Victoria's aide-de-camp Miguel Riera is seen at the photos.

A visitor met yesterday Daniel, who was watching the cars at the Enthusiast Vehicle Exhibition.

Victoria was spotted Gotland. Entertainment columnist Fanny Svärd published a video of Victoria on her Instagram stories on Thursday.
"Spotted: Crown Princess Victoria at Rute Lada. Reportedly, she bought a chopping board and some decor," writes Fanny on her Instagram story.

I guess the crown princess family has gone with their boat from Öland to Gotland.

Svensk Damtidning asked Margareta Thorgren about Chris's whereabouts, she said:
- The family has a private holiday in Sweden. And when it's private, we don't comment on where they are.
When asked if it is the case that Chris has had to return to the United States to work, she answers:
- No, they have summer holidays.
So Chris is still in Sweden. He just keeps a slightly lower profile than the rest of his family.

An eyewitness that Svensk Damtidning has been in contact with has seen Carl Philip along the jetty on the sunny side of Båstad harbour. On the agenda was crab fishing with his three sons.

Daniel was seen walking at Alvaret on Öland, with a Säpo bodyguard close by.
