Charlotte Casiraghi, Dimitri Rassam & Family Current Events Part 45: February 2022 -

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I think to persume Caroline's relationship with her mother is very wrong. Perhaps her family are more discrete and not up for using a name to promote themselves. Charlotte has once mentioned her own father in public. And only then was not talking about him but how the loss affected her. She has never talked about her grandfather or indeed her own mother. I would venture they are more private.

The top part is absolutely true, though Charlotte strikes me as someone who doesn’t necessarily care that her grandmother was Grace Kelly. She’s obviously aware of it & how that affects her life & who she is/looks like. But she’s not as appreciative about it as Jazmin & Pauline. I think one of the reasons is because Albert & Stephanie are more fond of Grace than Caroline & they’ve taught their daughters to be the same. It’s also interesting how their daughters have Grace Kelly in their birth names but Caroline’s daughters don’t.
I don't think it's fair to assume such things. I actually admire more the people who are aware of their lineage but do not endlessly and blatantly use that connection as a central factor in what they're trying to sell. It's even weirder when some people repeatedly talk about a relative who's died and they never even met. Here's an old interview (quoted from Madame Figaro but this one's translated to English) where Caroline and Charlotte talked about Grace:
Princess Caroline and Charlotte Casiraghi talk Grace Kelly, feminism and modern Princess clichés

Will she write how sad Princess Grace was at the Civil Wedding of her Mother with Philippe Junot.
I remember the first pictures taken at the red cross ball when Caroline was sitting alone between her parents.

Summer readings 2024 with Charlotte Casiraghi.
Beautiful video in French with English subtitles.

Ah, this was absolutely exquisite & made me want to go out & buy those books........the way Charlotte talks about each book is almost like poetry, and very tactile........in the past I admired Charlotte because of her beauty, but nowadays it's her mind that intrigues. She's very erudite. Bravo, Charlotte, Bravo!

That's so sad if it's true.

thank you for sharing that. After reading it, I think Charlotte has more of a quiet admiration for Grace & Caroline both. But she still doesn’t strike me as one to put Grace on a pedestal. Caroline however just seems to loathe Grace. From saying she doesn’t resemble her at all, to not being a film buff, to being influenced by people other than her parents who she called not great readers. And that’s only in this interview. I know she doesn’t feel like she had a close relationship with her, but it’s just sad.

I think that is a very persumptious post. Rude almost. We have absolutely no idea.

Apologies if my post came off as rude. It may just be how the interview was put together that I got that impression about Caroline. It went from Charlotte’s lovely reflection of Grace in Caroline to Caroline stating that she doesn’t think she resembles Grace at all. Then Grace is mentioned as an Oscar winner, but says Caroline isn’t much of a film buff & has least knowledge of the cinema while mentioning who influenced her. I hope you can see where I’m coming from with this.

Please get back to the topic of this thread - the ongoing discussion about Princess Caroline and Princess Grace has been shortened.

It seems we have not seen Charlotte since the spring, and not at all this summer which is almost over. Here’s a lovely interview she did, in French and Spanish, about what Saint-Rémy in Provence means to her.

Isn't today Charlotte's 38th birthday?🤔

:previous: Yes, it is.

She says she still goes back with her family, so I’m assuming her mom kept her house there. Also, does anyone know who her piano teacher was/is? They are still friends to this day!

I really wish I knew French, so I could appreciate how well read and educated Charlotte is. I like her voice. I remember some old interview, when Charlotte could be in her mid twenties or younger; her voice sounded so mature for her age.

I think its obvious she's a very studious, intelligent woman. What's of most importance to me, is that she be kind, compassionate, emotionally intelligent, down to earth, good person. I hope she is despite her privilege.

I don't think the family wealth, advantages, beauty and access to anything money can buy defined her character. She was born within an ancient aristocratic family that married another type of royalty, Hollywood's. Yet she grew up as a very charismatic and humble down-to-earth person, you can see that in her videos, despite of so many tragedies like losing her father in an accident.

Charlotte strikes me as being the same person that hosts these meetings with intellectuals and makes everyone on the panel feel like a friend that has known her all her life. Many celebrities that are extremely rich or influential show anything but good manners when in public, they acquire the privilege attitude like if it was second skin. Charlote, born in privilege (?) seems to be the opposite of these other celebrities with no arrogance, an attitude or feelings of being superiors while looking down to others.

She seems to be what we see in these videos, a beauty with both Hollywood and Royal blue blood and yet, she is like that friend from work you've known always with a smile and a no-nonsense personality.

This is probably not the greatest, but here’s the article via google translate:

Ouf, that didn’t work properly. Sorry, but I tried. She came across as very charming and quite nostalgic about the place that she says has meat so much to her.

Dimitri Rassam & little Balthazar

Dimitri looks like a happy dad here. Wonder when and where this photo was taken.

:previous: At his mom’s house somewhere in Italy where she owns a winery I think.

That would be on the small island of Pantelleria, between Sicily and Tunisia. You can buy the wine, but it isn't cheap.

I'd like to see more of the chanel literature and more interviews of Charlotte in English.

I only just found out Grace had a huge library. How amazing would it be if Charlotte merged her love for literature and poetry with Grace Kelly's collection. What a wonderful connection but I doubt she ever will.

I mean even for selfish reasons, if she builds a connection to her grandmother, she can bring her literature and philosophical meetings to a wider audience but the world still loves Grace.

English isn't her first language. Or even her second really I don't think. Although, she speaks it very well.

She, I am sure, fulfills her responsibilities according to the brief.

English should be her second language, what else could be? French is her 1st language, and i don't think she speaks italian so well to be considered as her 2nd one.

We don’t know. Certainly the language of her parents is French/Italian. Depends how much she uses English.

I would expect that she speaks/spoke to her father's family in Italian.

I always thought all Casiraghi siblings speak Italian. 🧐
