The Family of Prince Henrik - The de Laborde de Monpezats

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Nobody from Henriks family, his wife or children with in-laws attended, that's a shame.

I agree. It was painful for me to see photos of Prince Henrik looking aged and rather frail without his spouse or children at such a sad occasion.

Since Princess Marie is French like her father-in-law it would have been lovely to see her there to support him.

BTW I had no idea that one of Henrik's sisters is a nun.

No show up from Joachim and Marie already at Gärsten for the family picture .

There is something strange in the Danish Rpyal Familly , they smile but....

:previous: Wasn't she the one who died last year?

This has been a difficult year for the Danish Royal Family. He is already the second relative of the Royal Family to die this year. RIP

When Prince Henrik lost his own Sister, no Danish Attendance for the Funerals.
Now Princd Henrik lost his brother in Law , no Danish Attendence for the Funerals

For the Queen Brother in law the , the Queen , the Prince and their family attend the late prince Richard's Funerals
I cannot understand.

:previous: We have no idea what goes on behind the scenes. There could be phone calls, letters, flowers, etc. to show concern. In QM's case, maybe she isn't up to making the trip. Or maybe (as in the case of the recent confirmation) more royalty would be disruptive, because of the extra security, photographers, etc. Maybe it's the family's wish to keep things like this low key.

Or maybe they don't give a damn for relatives on dad's side..

10 Members of the Danish Royal Family have de Montpezat blood.

Does anyone have pictures of the monpezat family at Prince Frederik's wedding?

We will never know if she was happy her Son marrying a future Queen ?

Are Prince Frederik and Prince Joachim close to monpezat cousins?

Are Prince Frederik and Prince Joachim close to monpezat cousins?

Difficult to say.

Especially in regards to Frederik.

As for Joachim, he is often in France (well, lives there now) and as such it's likely he might visit some of his French relatives.
Our Marie has on occasion used a nephew of PH (who lives in DK) as an unofficial gentleman-in-waiting when she's on the job. So that suggests that that person is close to J&M. And if one person is close to J&M it seems likely that there might be more.

Who is Prince Henrik's nephew who lives in Denmark?
Were Prince Henrik's nephews present at Frederik and Mary's wedding?

I can't remember his name off hand. he is married to a Dane and live in Copenhagen. He did some jobs for the court when PH was around.

As to the wedding guests. I imagine there were some, but that I will leave to someone who is more well-informed about that wedding than I will ever be. ?

Whose son is Charles Henri Keller? I don't think he's the son of any of Prince Henrik's brothers. Will you be the son of one of Prince Henrik's nephews?

Based on his surname, I would assume he is a son of one of his sisters (if he would be the child of a brother he would most likely be a 'de Laborde de Monpezat'). Not sure which one married a 'Keller'.

Edit: it seems you already tried to get a complete overview of all his nieces and nephews - and none of his sisters married a Keller. In that case, he might indeed be a great-nephew - but I wonder whose child he would be because the elder siblings all had boys who would pass their surname on, so it would need to be by one of his nieces who are likely to be a bit younger - and probably not old enough for a child this old (unless both her parents and she married really young). Or alternatively, he could be the grandson of one of Henrik's uncles or aunts - would that also be called a nephew in Denmark?

Apparently none of Prince Henrik's sisters married anyone by that nickname.
He must be Prince Henrik's great-nephew.

In this post you can see the names of prince Henrik's brothers and nephews and there is no person with that name here:
