Respect to the Princess. She sets such a good example of duty.

The “straight talking” PR guru hired as the Princess of Wales’s new private secretary has opted to stay with chef Jamie Oliver rather than take up the role, The Telegraph can reveal.
Alison Corfield, 51, is understood to have been uncomfortable with the prospect of having such a high-profile position and decided instead to remain under the radar.
The mother of three, a branding and marketing expert, has worked with Oliver for eight years. A source said: “She loves the work and is an integral member of the campaigning team.
“She decided she just wanted to keep her head down and get on with the job she knows so well in the background. She didn't want the publicity that comes with working at that level for such a well-known institution.”

The Times are reporting that The Princess of Wales, patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), is willing to present the Wimbledon trophies regardless if the finalists are from Russia or Belarus. This comes after insider suggested that All England Club and Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) are lifting the ban on the participation of Russian and Belarusian tennis players in Wimbledon or other grass tournaments held in the UK. However, the AELTC, LTA nor the Wimbledon tournament have release any official statements on their decision. There has been communications between the All England Club and Kensington Palace's staff, particularly on the possibility of propaganda derived from the trophy presentation at Centre Court.

The Princess of Wales intends to continue with the tradition of presenting the Wimbledon singles trophies this year regardless of whether the champions are from Russia or Belarus.

Despite concerns over a high-profile member of the royal family handing over the silverware during the invasion of Ukraine by military forces from Russia and Belarus, sources have said that the princess plans to fulfil her duties as the All England Club’s patron.

Wimbledon organisers are expected to lift the ban on entrants from Russia and Belarus in the next two weeks. Players from both nations will be permitted to compete as neutral competitors, with no mention of where they hail from beside their names on scoreboards and television graphics.

The All England Club has kept Kensington Palace updated during the long decision-making process. While there were initial concerns among some club officials about the propaganda that could potentially be derived from the princess standing on Centre Court alongside a champion from Russia or Belarus, there has been no indication from the palace that the princess will not attend the women’s singles final on July 15 and the men’s singles final on July 16.

It was very unfortunate that The Princess of Wales was dragged into the last year's controversy surrounding the ban on Russian and Belarusian athletes. It is not just because the Royal Family was somehow linked to politics, but also the subject of vitriol from anti-monarchists and tennis fans on social media, who are mostly progressives/anti-traditions. I was appalled by the baseless accusations that the then Duchess of Cambridge was embarrassed/afraid to present the trophy to Russian and Belarusian players. This was despite the fact that it was the club officials or even the UK Government who were concern about being used as propaganda, not The Princess of Wales herself.

The Princess of Wales shared a photo of Queen Elizabeth II with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to mark her 97th birthday.
"Today would have been Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s 97th birthday.

This photograph - showing her with some of her grandchildren and great grandchildren - was taken at Balmoral last summer."

Lovely photo. Interesting that Beatrice and Eugenie's children weren't there for the photograph.

What a lovely photo of HLM surrounded by her 2 youngest grandchildren and many of her great-grandchildren.

The late queen usually invited to arrive in Balmoral different members of her family on different weeks. Balmoral is not a hotel. It is quite small. The Yorks were invited a week before or a week later.

So happy that Lucas has a photo with his great-grandmother. Everything was thought throughout, as mentioned on twitter, there's a photo of Edoardo with baby Sienna on the table on the right.

A wonderful day of remember the former queen on her birthday. However, I do wonder how Louise and James feel about being ushered in with the great-grandchildren again.

The Yorks normally went to Balmoral early in August to be there for Beatrice's birthday on or near the 8th.

The others tended to go up later, towards the end of the school holidays so it was rare for the Yorks to be at Balmoral at the same time as any of the other family members.

That is lovely. I'm glad that she and they got to spend time together.

I'm sure she has photos with the York great grandchildren and it is possible that either Eugenie or Edo will release one at some point. The photo did specify that it was "some" of them. We know they went up there IIRC along with other alleged on SM but not confirmed meet ups.

Quite a blond family at that age, especially the Phillipses/Tindalls.

Lovely photo of the Queen and some of her grandchildren and great=grandchildren.

I have no idea if this is the correct forum to post this question, so mods, please move if necessary. I have read that King Charles will receive the Honours of Scotland in a special service, and that Prince William may receive the Honours of Wales. Is there a special ceremony where Prince William would receive those honours?

The only place I’ve seen anyone suggesting that William should receive the Honours of Wales was in the DM by one of their so-called journalists.

If by Honours of Wales it means an Investiture I’d suggest that is very unlikely. The Investiture Charles underwent as a very young Prince of Wales was when he was 21, a lifetime ago. Time has moved on. There’s no appetite for it in Britain.

The costs of the late Queen’s funeral and Lying in State have just been published. The costs involved in the Coronation are to come in a few months. Any Investiture would be expensive with equally high security costs, and William is not a youth as his father was, he’s a married man of 40 with a family.

The Princess of Wales as Patron of the Foundling Museum visited the Museum in London today, May 25, "to meet those with lived experience of the care system, as well as with foster carers and adoptive parents to hear about their experiences":

Princess of Wales looks lovely. Heard Charles is jealous of the attention the Wales are receiving over he and his wife. He is lucky to have them.

You can't believe every rumour that you hear. The King will no doubt be aware of the reach of W&C to younger people, a vital segment of the populace for the BRF.

The Princess of Wales as Patron of the East Anglia's Children's Hospices has sent a letter to mark the start of this year's Children's Hospice Week:

:previous:I'm impressed by the number of applicants (1,000 in 2022) who hope for the opportunity each year and then are selected. Roger Federer is correct when he said it was proper training.

What a lovely video! I am so glad the ball boys and girls are getting such proper recognition.
