The groom is a first cousin of Hereditary Prince Philip of Serbia, a first cousin once removed of Duarte Pio, Duke of Braganza, and a second cousin of King Felipe VI of Spain, Jean, Count of Paris, Aimone, Duke of Aosta, Pedro, Duke of Calabria, and the late Duke Friedrich of Wurttemberg.

Sophie is the eldest of four children and first one who marries.

Prince Ludwig of Bavaria (b.14 June 1982) [third of five children and eldest son of Prince Luitpold of Bavaria (b.1951) & his wife Katrin, nee Wiegand (b.1951)] married religiously Sophie-Alexandra Evekink (b.1989) in Teatinerkirche in Munich (Germany) on 20 May; their civil wedding took place in Scloss Kaltenberg on Christmas Eve last year.

From the groom's siblings only his youngest brother Karl (b.1987) is single.

Two of six Maximiliana's sisters are unmarried: Marie Gabrielle (b. 1992) and Giorgiana (b. 1997).

Felipe (b.1987) married Mariana González Morales (b.1988) civilly in 2015 and religiously in 2016; they have two daughters: Lucía (b.2018) & Leonor (b.2021).

My writing that he's a member of a noble family meant that it's from his father's family. His paternal grandfather was the Marquis de Saporta. Added to this his maternal grandmother was a French noblewoman while his maternal grandfather was not only a cognatic descendant of Scandinavian nobility but also a cognatic descendant of King Frederick VI of Denmark through the king's daughter Antoinette Frederikke with Countess Marian du Pontavice de la Mangeantière.
