For crying out loud. How can she get it so right, and so wrong, in the space of one day? The black outfit was absolutely lovely. The gold one did nothing for her at all, shape, color or style wise, and is totally the wrong thing to do, wearing all gold in the middle of the day. Good grief!
 
You said it so well, Empress!! You almost took the words right out of my mouth.
The black dress was simple and flattering and slimming on her. The gold one was ....well, just as you said! Thank you for summing it up perfectly, imho.
 
I guess it's one of these dreadful balloonskirts plus a shirt. Not very flattering, Maxima looks like a tinsel angel wearing a summer outfit. There is hardly average with Maxima, too often her outfits are either very good or hideous.
 
My first instinct was that I didnt like the top (that was when I hadn't seen the skirt), but I've reversed that since. I quite like it's fit and the fabric. I was unsure about how flattering it would be over her stomach, but I think its fine. The skirt looks very similar to a red one (she wore it so long ago, I've given up trying to find a link, but she wore it with a bright red jacket and flats), which I didnt like, but I dont mind this one as much. Maybe the cut is slightly less dramatic, or it could just be the colour, but I dont mind it anywhere near as much. The shoes I really like; the hair is not bad; the earrings, I like them as they simply are Maxima.
 
I like the color, but the low-waisted look is really unflattering with this shirt. The shiny fabric draws the eye to the an area of her stomach that isn't very flattering. I think that if the skirt had a higher waist, it would look better. I do like the shape of the skirt and her shoes.
 
i like the colour and the fabricbut not the design!!!! i like her more when she went to the school with Ariana!
 
This is more of an evening look to me. I like the top, shoes and handbag, but not for daytime. The skirt is horrific.

She was so sleek and modern in the black but here she looks a piece of puff pastry.

Maxima is very busy in these days.

I like this green dress. The shoes are lovely, but they don't suit for the dress IMO.
I like her make-up a lot.
 
I like the black dress,

not the golden top, it cuts her through the middel with the band and is too bling bling for daytime.

The green dress is lovely, minus the square stones embroidered on the top

I love her dress!! It looks great on her.
 
I like the top part but not the lower one.
The color suits her.
This dress look familiar to me.
I think CP Mathilde owns a similar one
 
I loved the black dress. Simple and elegant. Her hair was nice,too.

Her golden outfit was not that nice. Didn't like the balloon skirt on her at all. This cut just doesn't suit her at all. She wears them again and again...

The green dress... I like the colour. Bright colours do definitely suit her.
Apart from that: I don't like the cut at all. It looks like a typical Natan dress (so I wouldn't be surprised if Mathilde owns it too ;)). Her hair was a mess. Sadly... she started to have lovely styled hair lately.
 
There is no sense in repeating what you just said so eloquently, Her_ Majesty! I just totally agree on all points!
I have little doubt that the green dress is a Natan what with the awful plastic things that are stuck on it. Part of his trademark, maybe? IMHO, it is unattractive and cheapens the look of the dress.

The green dress is pretty it's a great color on Maxima but I wish she had worn a different pair of shoes.

I am echoing the others. I am 99.9% certain that the dress is a Natan creation. It has the trademark pleats in the center.

However, it does look very nice on Maxima. I prefer her in bright colors, and this dress is a good example of why bright colors work well for her.

She seems almost pregnant... and the dress is too short for her figure, her knees are not flattering...
Those plastic shining green things on the top of the dress remind me of summer beach dresses...
I like the shoes but they don't fit with the dress.
 
compared to Dutch women, Maxima is slim and fit :flowers:

She is sophisticated with the false fur ,although I dislike its colour
 
Her brooch is peculiar.I prefer the colour of her hair in the first pic,really beautiful:flowers:
