As usual, I don´t get your points.... What´s wrong with the Queen´s dress? She looks exactly a Queen should look like at a state banquet! And why, for heaven´s sake, should "the Värmlands" fade quietly in the background? They are part of "the firm" and, as working Royals, have a duty for Sweden...

I think their theory was, that the RF, the court, whoever thought 1. this would quieten the rumours around the Crown Prince and 2. would provide the royal couple with a new "project" or task as a rejoining force, so that they, as King and Queen of Denmark, would not be able to...

Today, a german newspaper raised the question, if this could be a move, this unforseen abdication, could be regarded as a try to save the royal couple´s marriage.... If that should be the case, which I doubt, this wouldn´t work in long run!

As for the terrible rumours and turmoil of the past month I already began to think there would never be a Queen Mary of Denmark... ! Thank God this did not happen - the new Queen always was and will be a jewel in Denmarks monarchy!
