The court about queen Silvia attending at Pensioners' Day at Ekebyhov Palace Park in Ekerö.
Traditionally, the Queen wears her Lovö dress at this event.
Music was performed by court singer Loa Falkman and pianist Henrik Måwe.
Thereafter a picnic was held during which the Queen was given the opportunity to greet the municipality's elderly residents and their relatives.
The day ended with singing the national anthem together. Queen Silvia took the initiative to this day in 1998.

Swedish Dementia Days is a conference that this year celebrates the 20th anniversary. The Queen began her visit by holding a speech:
“A better dementia care is an issue that is very personal to my heart. I myself have the experience of being a relative of a person with dementia - an experience that led me to found Silviahemmet more than twenty years ago. Thanks to the research, we are getting more and more knowledge about dementia diseases. It is knowledge that can be applied in healthcare and care, and that can lead to better treatment both by the sick and the relatives.”
The Queen then attended two lectures and one seminar:
"An update on research and clinic of dementia diseases with a particular focus on Alzheimer's disease" - lecturer Maria Eriksdotter
"Say it in tones and not in words" - lecturer Birgitta "Gitte" Pålsson
"Low-impact treatment in elderly care" - lecturer Bo Hejlskov Elvén

Queen Silvia has teamed up with Swedish furniture retail company IKEA to provide housing for dementia patients.

The queen inaugurated the first SilviaBo on 13th May 2017. After that there has been troubles, the residents in the area appealed against plans for modern buildings, which they meant are "completely strange in the unique environment",

Because SilviaBo is Silviahemmet's (Silvia Home) custom housing for people with dementia, the news about SilviaBo are in this thread, this is the lastest news posted.
