Maria II da Glória Joana Carlota Leopoldina Isidora da Cruz Francisca Xavier de Paula Micaela Gabriela Rafaela Luisa Gonzaga, Queen of Portugal and the Algarves on the abdication of her father on 29 April 1826, (Rio de Janeiro, 4 April 1819 - Lisbon, 15 November 1853; married 1stly in Lisbon, 26 January 1835 August Duke of Leuchtenberg, created Prince of Portugal (Milan, 9 December 1810 - Lisbon 28 Mar 1835); married 2ndly in Lisbon, 9 April 1836 Prince Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, created King Consort Fernando II of Portugal on 16 September 1837 (Vienna, 29 October 1816 - Lisbon 15 December 1885)
Reign: 1826 - 1853 her uncle Miguel was proclaimed King on 11 Augustus 1828, and a bloody civil war started; Queen Maria's armies, led by her father Emperor Pedro I of Brazil were victorious and in 1834 Miguel agreed to permanent exile and Maria became again Queen de facto.
