Former Romanian King Michael (L) and his wife Queen Anna (R) chats with visitors as people came today to congratulates him on his name day at Elisabeta Palace, the Romanian Royal Family residence, in Bucharest, 08 November 2004.
I suspect that was just a handy justification to allow Margarita to bear the title of Crown Princess and to prevent the extinction of the Romanian Royal line. Since there is no Romanian Kingdom, the House Laws currently apply only to the family, and the EU has no jurisidction over internal family "rules" or protocols. It was also interesting to see that European Union rules made the old Salic law of male only succession unsupportable.
On the 10th of June TM King Mihai and Queen Ana will celebrate their diamond wedding. They were married at Tatoi palace at King michaels uncle King Paul of Greece.
There will be a dinner at Peles Castle on 11th June with representatives from many royal houses. My informations are from Prince Radu's blog.
I guess so?
