Since there is already a thread for the Dinner for the King of Saudi Arabia, this thread is closed.

Would a Muslim King give jewelry to another man's wife? That doesn't seem like it would be proper protocol, unless the King is buying something from the Queen on this visit.

Looking at these photos, the princess looks radiant. Queen Sofia has quite an earrings. A rare photo of Letizia and the King:

He would be giving a gift to the Queen of Spain - not another man's wife.

queen or no queen, there is no problem that muslim man give a gift to a woman althought she is married,it's gesture to say thanks to the invitation or welcoming something like that...you know what i mean?

The King being a muslim has absolutely nothing to do with buying/presenting HM Queen Sofia with jewellery or not. It's done by all middle-east rulers for their counterparts in Europe,Arabia and Asia, and their spouses. The jewellery was already given earlyer during the Sytate Visit by the King to Spain, this is just an official visit,so gifts are not that elaborate.
