The coronet is that of a British earl or countess - four visible strawberry leaves, contained between five visible pearls raised on stalks.

So you're looking for someone who is a member of a comital family whose initials are EM. That could be a fair few people, unfortunately.
One 'answer' immediately comes to mind - Edwina Mountbatten, the wife of Louis, 1st Earl Mountbatten. But she will not be the only person who fits the puzzle
And this design doesn't match to any of Edwina's monograms.
