So the Pope has been ill, and has deemed himself too old to be able to preform his jobs properly. Good for him for recognizing that he was loosing his ability to preform his jobs, all the more respect to him for that

I think Monarchs should always have a higher standing then Presidents. They are not elected and reign for the rest of their lives from the time of their ascension, and it is thought to be their god given right while Presidents are in for 8 years at most

It does make a lot of sense, him not wanting to go. He is the one they had to use to identify the remains of the skeletons they found and to sort out if the impostors claims were true or false.

But then when England broke from the Catholic Church and the Pope, they still had the divine right thought. So that must've changed atleast in England
